1. Do Christians sin?•YES. •We are sinners by nature and CONTINUE to sin. •No one is perfect or without sin. (1 John 1:8)

2. What is sin really?

•More than acts of DISOBEDIENCE.•More than acts of OMISSION.•FAILURE to honor and thank God•Failure to TRUST God.

What is sin?•Wanting our own WAY.•REJECTING God for cheap substitutes; •BELIEVING lies instead of the truth.

3. Why? •God has not taken away our human WILL. •The FLESHLY desires still pull at us. (Jer. 17:9; Mark 7:21-23; Gal. 5:17) It comes from WITHIN us.

4. What happens when we sin?•We put sin between ourselves and GOD?•No CONDEMNATION, even when we sin! (Rom. 8:1)

5. Does this mean I can still sin and it doesn’t matter because God will forgive me?

•NO! (Rom. 5:29-6:1)

6. Why?•United to Christ, we are “DEAD” to sin and ALIVE to God (1 John 3:9)

Sin is NEVER the will of God for us.

7. What should we do if we sin?

•REPENT, and •CONFESS•receive forgiveness our sin(s), (1 John 1: 7, 9)

8. We must not sin HABITUALLY! (1 John 3:6)

9. We should want to AVOID sin. (1 John 2:1; Romans 7:19-20)
