INTRODUCTION

What is SIMS ?

SIMS stands Student Information Management System

It is a software system envisioned & commissioned by Dean PG, University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bangalore

What is the objective of SIMS ?

SIMS aims to build a shared platform for students, faculty & admin office staffs of PG Studies, UAS, GKVK to provide easy, fast and accurate information delivery utilizing technology.

PURPOSE

What is the purpose of SIMS ?

Store all academic data in a centralized database

Provide a Web based application to Students, Faculty & Admin Staff to access the information

Carry out the mundane yet necessary administrative activities with lesser effort and overhead

Get academic and related information easily through any computer within the campus network.

Every user will have their own unique Login name & password to access the system

Accessing SIMS Accessible from any PC or Laptop connected to Campus Network Open Web Browser (Chrome/Firefox/IE) Visit the URL : http://176.9.25.46:9090/sims

Student Access: Login : Student Registration No (e,g PALB3069) Default password : First 4 characters of your name

Staff Access: Login : Please collect login from Admin Default password : First 4 characters of your name
