Kick Butts Day—March 21 Smoking is bad for your health! Smokers are asked to stop smoking for a day or begin a program that will help them kick the habit. Spread the word!

Get Active Simpson Challenge Recruit your club members to join you and get Active from March 18 to April 20. Your team captain will record your Physical Activity minutes and send it in each week. Helpful information and encouraging words will be sent out to keep you going during the challenge. Awards and prizes will be given out at 1:30 p.m. at the Gazebo during Earth Day. Contact Christy at christy.ramey.edu or call 270-586-4484 to register a team.

SOKY Earth Day Fair Our Earth Day Committee has decided to highlight items that have been made from Recycled materials at our booth. They will also be giving away small samples of a homemade detergent with the items needed to make it displayed and the recipe available. You may be contacted to bring a quilt or other recycled craft item for the display. We need workers for each shift. If you can work from 9:00-11:00, 11:00-1:00, or 1:00 to 2:30, please call the Extension Office.

This year the SOKY Earth Day Fair will be held the same day as the Cherry Blossom Festival. Therefore, the front two areas will be arts and music, while the back sections behind the courthouse will be devoted to Earth Day activities.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Position rack in the center of the oven. Wash oranges. Using a zester or fine grater, remove the orange zest from the rinds of both oranges and place in a mixing bowl. Mix together with a whisk. In a separate mixing bowl, place the flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon, until just combined.
