SIMPLE MACHINES

LEVERS;

•Light switches & sinks are examples of Levers.

•Both are from home in bathroom & bedroom

Light switches are used to turn the lights on & off. And sinks are used to turn water on & off. Both have fulcrums.

GEARS;

The clock & bike both have gears. The clock is in my room & the bike is by my garage. Clocks are used to tell time & bikes are used for transportation.

INCLINED PLANES;•Both are found at home

•My fan is found in my parents bedroom. The stairs are in the hall.

•The fan moves the air around. & the stairs help you get to higher surfaces.

WEDGES; Knives are push-pins are both wedges.

My pushpins are used to hold paper on my wall & a knife is used to slice through products

WHEEL & AXEL;

The bike has wheels and is used to move around. Its found in my garage.

The car has wheels and is used to move around. Its found outside.

SCREWS;The top of a water bottle is a screw usedTo close it. The light bulb has a a screw on The bottle to help screw it in. both are found at home

PULLIES ;

Shoe laces are used to tighten the shoe.& blinds have ropes that are used to moveThem back & forth. The blinds are at my auntsHouse & the shoe is my friends.

COMPOUND MACHINES;

Scissors consist of a lever & wheel & axel.

Drills have screws, wheel & axel amongst other things
