• Mount Vesuvius is an Italian volcano , which erupted on August 24, 79 AD. Mount Vesuvius is one of the largest volcanic eruption in history. Especially, Pompeii, and Herculaneum. The eruption destroyed 2 large cities near by. The eruption covered the two cities with more than 20 feet of volcanic debris. This volcanic eruption is considered one of the most dangerous eruptions ever to occur. The eruption killed over 2,000 people in the villages nearby.
