Incontinence Sensor The Incontinence Sensor wireless product is a passive alarm device used when the resident is in bed or seated in a chair. It alerts caregivers of a urinary incontinence situationthat requires their attention. The Incontinence Sensor product is part of the Companion One system and utilizes the same infrastructure and reporting methods as other wireless Silversphere devices.

Initiation of the urinary incontinence alarm takes place when a pad placed on a bed or chair under a fitted sheet or comparable material becomes wet. Other than the actual incontinence itself, the resident is not required to take any action to activate the pad or create an incontinence alarm. The alarm is automatically reset once the pad becomes dry. The pad can be wiped clean and has been tested with Lysol-brand disinfectants, but must be completely dry (both wiped and air) before being placed back into service.

The device is supervised, meaning if the resident removes the sensor from the call station, an alert is provided to caregivers.

The reset button on the WCCA-IS does notaffect device operation, but can be used forStaff Check if the zone is associated with a Staff Check zone group.

Installation - Workbench The Incontinence Sensor will need to be assigned to a zone within a zone group that has the following custom user events:Long name “Incontinence Alarm” and short name “Incont Alm” — to be associated with the “Cord Button” transmitter code on the WCCA-IS. This alarm occurs during an incontinence situation.Long name “Incont Device Trbl” and short name “Incon Trbl” — to be associated with the “Cord Remove” transmitter code on the WCCA-IS. This alarm triggers when the sensor is disconnected. Please consult the Workbench Guide for instructions on how to add custom event names. (Page S.3—52 in section 3.8: System Options, User Events.)

Touch Pad

The CCTA touch pad provides reliable and versatile actuation for residents with limited dexterity. The CCTA features a large, ultra-sensitive touch plate surface that can be easily pressed by a hand, foot, elbow, chin, etc. The grey-color tent design with clip and Velcro attachment methods allow for multiple positioning possibilities to make it simple and convenient for any resident to use.

Use the security clips to attach the call device to a bed, pillow case, sheet, or resident’s clothing in the right angle or “tent” position (Diagram A and B). The Velcro strap can be used to fasten the CCTA to a bed rail as shown in Diagram C.

The 10 ft. length cord attaches to WCCA call cord station, which is included with the CCTA-KIT.
