Taklamakán is a desert of Central Asia, in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China. Literally takla-makán means ‘ if you enter you don’t go out .’ It occupies an area of 270.000 km ². For his north and southern edge cross two branches of the Silk Route. Ikebana (arranged flower) is the Japanese art of flower arrangement, also known as kadō ( the “way of flowers).The spiritual aspect of ikebana is considered very important to its practitioners. Silence is a must during practices of ikebana. It is a time to appreciate things in nature that people often overlook because of their busy lives. One becomes more patient and tolerant of differences, not only in nature, but also in general. Ikebana can inspire one to identify with beauty in all art forms. This is also the time when one feels close-ness to nature which provides relaxation for the mind, body, and soul.

The washing must be done according to the following conditions:

- Dampen the clothes before introducing products for the washing (fill a washbowl with water and some tensoactive product and leave the cloth to soak during at least 5’).- We recommend not using detergents with optical brighteners.- We recommend washing with active oxygen (instead of chlorine).- We recommend using solvents.- Do a normal/long washing with pre-wash.- Temperature for the washing (60ºC white / 40ºC Colour).- Rinse final process with conditioner and neutralizing agent.- Normal spin (3’-5’ at 600-800rpm).

The ironing must be done according to the following conditions:

- Grille maximum temperature: 150ºC- Calender the cloth with a suitable grade of humidity (DO NOT IRON THE CLOTH COMPLETELY DRY).

The oasis town of Hotan is the capital of Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang, China. With a population of 114,000 (2006), Hotan lies in the Tarim Basin, just north of the Kunlun Mountains, which are crossed by the Sanju Pass, and the Hindu-tagh, and Ilchi passes.

This city produced the jade, the trade of which led to the opening of the Silk Route.
