Description Sikament Grout Aid SC is a balancedblend of powdered grout additivesused to produce an expansive, highfluid yet stable neat cement orsanded cement grout that pumps welland will resist bleeding andsegregation.

How to use SURFACE PREPARATION The void to be filled should be cleanand free of oil and grease, curingcompounds and foreign objects.

MIXINGMixing should be in accordance withthe prestressed concrete institute’sstandards. The use of high shear orcolloidal mixer is recommended. Testwith the actual mixer should beconducted to evaluate the effect ofthe type of mixer on the properties ofthe mixed grout. Add the appropriateamount of water to the mixer. With

the mixer running, add SikamentGrout Aid SC and mix for 30-60 sec.Add the appropriate amount ofcement to the mixer and continue tomix for an additional 2-4 mindepending on the mixing equipment.The grout must be homogeneous,lump free and thoroughly blended.

APPLICATIONInject the mixed grout within a periodof 30 min after mixing to ensure thatas much of the expansion action aspossible occurs after the grout isplaced.

CLEAN UPRemove grout from tools and mixingequipment with water. Cured materialcan only be removed mechanically.

LIMITATIONSFor grouting of prestressed tendons,follow the recommendations of thePrestressed Concrete Institutes. Coolambient and grout temperatures mayextend the grout setting timessubstantially.

The required properties of grout, such as strength and consistency, and the proportions of grout ingredients

depend on the grouting application. The proportions of ingredients and choice of ingredient must be

predetermined in the laboratory to obtain desired results.
