ARTWORK & DESIGN

We offer full design and artwork services and we include the cost of this service into the price of our signs.

We always provide colour visuals straight to your desktop (or hard copy by post if you’d prefer) for your approval or amendment. We want you to see how your new signs will look before we make them so you can be sure that we get them right.

If you would like your school logo or crest added to your new signs just simply email us your logo in any format you have. If you don’t have your logo available to email don’t worry, post us a letterhead or compliment slip with the logo on and we will do the rest.

If you don’t see the sign that you need in our catalogue or on our website, or if you would prefer different words or colours to the ones shown, just let our designers know and they will be pleased to make any changes for you.

All of our products are designed to be easy to install. They are supplied complete and assembled, ready to be fitted and are complete with fixing kits.

Our products can be easily fitted by on site maintenance staff but if you would prefer we can arrange for one of our installation teams to carry out this work for you. We charge for just the time spent on site and for travelling to and from your location. Our in house installation staff are fully trained and are CRB checked for your security and peace of mind.

MATERIALS WE USE TO MAKE YOUR SIGNSALUMINIUMWherever possible we always use solid aluminium. Aluminium is remarkable for its ability to resist corrosion, for its structural strength and for its lightness due to its low density. Aluminium has about 1/3rd the density of steel, it is ductile and easily machined, cast and extruded.

Aluminium is the ideal material for both inside and outside use in schools, colleges and public or high usage areas because it is tough, it looks good for years to come, does not rot, rust or break. It is safe and at the end of its life it can be recycled.

Almost all of our signs, panels, and posts are made from solid or extruded aluminium.

STAINLESS STEELWe use stainless steel where additional strength is required, such as for fittings, nuts, bolts, washers etc. Stainless steel is resistant to corrosion or staining and is low maintenance. It retains its appearance for years to come and provides the added strength of steel but without the corrosion or rusting properties of steel. Like aluminium it needs no maintenance and remains ‘usable’ for years to come.

G.R.PCommonly known as ‘Fibreglass’. G.R.P (Glass reinforced plastic) is a material that is suitable for both inside and outside uses. It is a composite material made of two materials that when combined give a strong and lightweight sign panel. The G.R.P is produced using a mould to a range of set sizes, the panel has a formed shaping around the edge to give a ‘frame’ effect. The colour pigment is incorporated within the top face.

G.R.P signs are ideal to either replace high maintenance wooden signs or where a traditional appearance is required. These are available post, wall, railings or fence mountable.

BannersThe ideal temporary or ‘special events’ sign. Our banners are available either in heavy duty cut vinyl or printed. The base material is a Nylon reinforced PVC at 500gsm thickness and comes complete with hems and brass eyelets for easy fitting and longevity. We can print logo’s and text to the face or use cut vinyl for longer text life.

INSTALLATION

ECONOMICAL AND BUDGET MATERIALSALUMINIUM COMPOSITEThis material is being commonly offered because it has some of the properties of Aluminium and is much cheaper. It is known as Aluminium Composite or Aluminium Laminate. It is constructed to form a sandwich of foam p.v.c. with a very thin layer of aluminium to the front and rear faces.

The expected life of this material is 2-4years. We do not recommend this material for use in schools.

FOAM P.V.C.Foam P.V.C. is a non recyclable material that is designed for short term use. It is ideal for temporary signs or exhibition displays, for mounting prints for display or special events. This material has no ‘structural strength’ and can only be used as a wall mountable panel or where it is supported by another structure. It’s appearance diminishes quickly and the panel can mark easily. It has a short term life.

At Elementary Signs we are at the forefront of producing environmentally friendly signs. The majority of our products can be easily recycled and have a low carbon ‘footprint’.

We offer a complete range in u.p.v.c. and in steel, many with poster display ability and some with a separate display panel for your School Name, Crest or Logo.
