Maybe fal len from the sky? :p Stop joking around, Thomas. I t isn’t funny! *pinch

Thomas’s arms* Ow-ww-- ! That hurt!

Sssh, we’re in an interview! Okay, let’s get back to thequestion. Dreenz is just a random name that was given by ourfather. I don’t know what the meaning of i t is actual ly, but Iliked i t I t's kinda like another name for sweet dreams:‘ ’ :D

Thomas is the one who had the ambition to become afamous musician, like our father.

Then I thought that I needed someone for myperformances, like a singer.

: Something? You mean SOMEONE? Yeah, i ts same you know.

He asked me to join him to form Dreenz when Istarting to learn rap from my best friend, Alice.

DREENZ MoraThami

Page 7: Siff buzz fall 2014 issue2

Not real ly different, I think. Memorizing the lyrics and chords, practicing, recording, edi ting. Not so much different, is i t?

Yeah, and keep in mind that not al l singles in our debut album wil l be a coversong. Mostly they are singles that our team wrote and recorded.

Yep, that’s right. More precisely, i t’s Battle of TheBands because for SIFF we’re only submitting the musicvideo of Al l Of Me.

And currently we’re in discussion, wil l Dreenzmaking another music video for our debut album or not.

The lead single of our album is a pop song andi t tel ls Dreenz’s real life story. As for the ti tle, you wil l justhave to wait until i t’s released :p

Fun! And ambition to become successful.

: And love for music.: And love for SIFF :D

Staggered Injection Jorgha Haq

I don't understand.

New t, i t is music. I t is just electronical ly manipulated music. You would not sayindustrial music is not music. The difference is dubstep original ly started with drum andbass music that was manipulated whereas industrial is more a combination of metal, punk and rock with noise elements mixed in. To use a human phrase, I may becomparing apples to oranges, but in the end they both have to be electronical lymanipulated one way or another. Would you tel l ei ther Frank Zappa or Trent Reznor thattheir music isn't music because of the electronic component?

That is not the point.

New t, do you not remember the details of our meeting? You traveled 250 yearsinto the future to a world where Toxic Dream had stopped making music. You’d seenwhat became of the world. That futuristic Theremin that you brought back with youwas our main musical instrument...used to play exclusively an electronic version ofPop Goes the Weasel. Until coming to your time period I knew little about music.

Page 9: Siff buzz fall 2014 issue2

I am walking and talking computer. Until I met you I lacked the programming toseek out this information.

About that.. .Kaidan seems rather upset I recycled his blender. I did not know thathumans were attached to such things.

Because i t wouldn't be interesting for me to go on stage and stand there while Itransmit music. People would be bored. Is i t not the purpose of music to entertain?

Props. To make things entertaining.

Toxic Dream won the Battle of the Bands, did they not? I t stands to reason thatsince you programmed me to play music that you would want me to do the same.

: Here in your time, are computers capable of wri ting their own music withouthuman input?

Then how do you know what we would play would be pleasing to the ears? I tcould be.. .how do you put i t? So not punk rock.

I t was the only logical choice. Plubots playing anything else would be.. .weird.

Kenzie Howell We have a lot of newcomers and unsungheros showing at SIFF this season, all bravelycoming out of their shells to showcase theirtalents! Twisted: Madeline’s Story Merfreaksimmer

The Sims 3U.S.A.

Though a relative newcomer to SIFF,Merfreaksimmer is no stranger to video series. She’s already captured qui te the fanbase with herlovable “Let’s Play” series of videos, as wel l assome tutorials and another series cal led “MusicalProdigyz.” - her SIFF debut. This season hersubmission is a film that focuses on a fairy humanhybrid named Madeline. Born to a fairy and human, her story is only beginning. The voice-overintroduction to the film states that there’s a happyending, but that the protagonist’s story is twisted.I’m wondering what’s so twisted about i t, and withthe li ttle snippets of Madeline with a mysterioushandsome stranger, i t makes me want to knoweven more! Another mystery wil l remain unsolveduntil September! I can’t wai t!
