Sidney and Auntie Norma Jean in Beaune

Mama and Papa planned a trip to France with Auntie NormaJean and Uncle John. Why dont we take Sidney?, suggested

Mama. He is such a good little doggie. Papa thought it was agood idea, Auntie Norma Jean thought it was a good idea andUncle John thought it was a good idea, so Mama called andmade a reservation for Sidney to fly to France.

After one last potty stop outside the airport in Charleston,Sidney was put into his carrier. Many, many hours later they

all landed in Paris. He was a tired little fellow, (traveling ineconomy class is hard on a petit chien) but he made it with noaccidents. He only got to pee pee again when he arrived inFrance. Sidney was very happy then...

La Maison, St. Remy de Provence

After traveling for several days,Visiting Beaune and Lyon,Sidney , le petit chien, and his fam-ily arrived in St. Remy where theysettled into their tres jolie petite villa.

Soon Auntie Crowley, Auntie Ketta,Auntie Carol, Uncle Bobby and UncleTerry joined the happy family. Thevery next day they all climbed into

their van and visited the market intown...

Garlic

Olives

There were baskets of olives and baskets ofgarlic. Mama and Papa were very happy to see

the Beautiful food and they boughtsome of each

There was a lot of cooking and eating going onat the villa.

It was no wonder that some of thePeople began to look a little plump.

In spite of the antiques and people feet, the market atLile sur la Sorgue was not all bad.

Unfortunately, Sidney never go close enoughto tell if there was a dame in this pair.

Papa, however, did not

Seem to have a problemWith identifying theOpposite sex.

He almost burned Sidneyslittle butt off on the grill.Mama was not too pleased

about all of the poulet

and quail Papa bought.Mama insinuated that

the lady in thepicture was not as happy

about Papa as shepretended to be.

Papa must have bought a dozenfowl...all for a little hug.

Fifi, the French Femme fatal...

And then Sidney saw her! Fifi, a beautiful little white dog.She looked sort of like a rabbit, but he found that exciting,in a bunny sort of way.

Fifi certainly made up for the boring antiques and smellyfeet.

But is was not all fun andgames for little Sidney. Heread the Herald Tribuneevery day so that he couldconverse with Beale andZo when he returnedhome.

The situation in the NearEast had him very worried.

Food, food, their worldrevolved around food!

Against all rules, naughtyAuntie Crowley gave Sidney ice

cream for dessert.

Auntie Ketta and Uncle John perusing the menu at LaPrevote, a one star restaurant in L'ile Sur la Sorgue,while Sidney and Papa enjoy Pastis.

Papa and Mama tookSidney with them

everywhere.In Avignon he saw a

Carousel and in Lyonthey let him ride in a

bright red race car.He had so much fun.

You should have seenhow fast this baby

would go!!!!!!

From 0 to 20 inno time flat!

At the end of each day Sid-ney would collapse in com-plete exhaustion, while his

parents and aunties and un-cles continued to cook and

eat.

(Not to mention the winethey consumed!)

He did not know how theydid it.

Paris!

Notre hotel a Paris, le St. Germain

After staying in Provence for severalweeks, Sidney and his parents went

to Paris. There were a lot of dogs thereand he even saw another Norwich

Terrier. He only had one day there,

but he managed to walk everywhereand see a lot on the Left Bank. He

was not too fond of the oysters,however.

Soon he flew home (business class, thankyou) with Auntie Norma Jean and uncle

John. He was reluctant to fly back with

Papa as he was going to be in the economysection of the plane and Mama was goingon to Istanbul. Everyone knows that Nor-wich Terriers should not be expected to fly

coach..
