A person must NOT:
Interfere with or misuse things provided for the health, safety andwelfare of persons at work

Refuse a reasonable request to assist in giving aid or preventing a
risk to health and safety Disrupt a workplace by creating health or safety fears

2. We have a legislated requirement to do so
3. It is good OH&S practice to do so

SIReporting an OH&S Incident
1. Notify your supervisor
2. An RFS Notification of Significant Injury to a Firefighter form
needs to be completed and submitted
This paperwork is designed to protect YOU
Reporting an incident is required if:
1. Medical intervention / treatment is required
2. A claim for compensation is anticipated
3. A situation that leaves a volunteer unfit for their paid work4. An injury where a person was unconscious

Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Schemes are

1. Payments equal to normal weekly earnings
