IntroductionSamHoustonStateUniversityhasconfiguredabrandedportalforsuppliersandpotentialsuppliers,specificallyforuseinregisteringwithourorganization,aswellasongoingmanagementofimportantbusinessinformation.Thisensuresthatwehavethemostaccurateandup-to-dateinformationwhenmakingpurchasingdecisions.

TheSupplierPortalallowssupplierstoprovideavarietyofdata.Thisincludes“basic”datasuchascompanyorindividualname,businesstype,andcontactinformation.Italsoincludesinformationsuchasrevenuehistory,companysize,classificationsfordiversitymanagement,insuranceinformation,paymentinformation,andmore!

WhatcanasupplierdointheSupplierPortal?TheSupplierPortalisnotonlyusedtomanageyourcompany’sdatabutalsohelpsusmanageourrelationshipwithyou.Thebetterinformationyouprovide,themorelikelyitisthatwehavesufficientinformationtomakepurchasingdecisionsaboutyourorganization.

SupplierManagementPortalInvitationandRegistrationYoumayhavebeenaskedtoregisterasasupplierinoneofthefollowingways:

• AnemailfromSamHoustonStateUniversityasasupplierinourdatabase,askingyoutocompletetheregistrationprocessbyclickingalinkintheemail.

• AnotificationfromSamHoustonStateUniversitytonavigatetoourSupplierPortalwebsite,andcreateanewaccounttobegintheregistrationprocess.

Duringregistration,youenterbasicuseraccountinformationtocreateyouraccountforloggingintotheSupplierPortal.Afterloggingin,youwillbeaskedtoenteradditionalinformationsuchascompanyname,legalstructure,taxidentificationnumberandcontactinformation.Youmaybeaskedtoprovideadditionaldetailssuchasbusinessinformationandinsuranceinformation.

TheSupplierProfileWhenyouhavecompletedregistration,youwillselecttoCertifyandSubmityourregistration.Wewillreviewtheinformationprovidedanddecideifyoursupplierregistrationisapproved.Wemayalsorequesttoreviewanychangesthatyoumaketoyourprofiledataafteryourregistrationhasbeensubmitted.

TheBasicsRegisteringfromanInvitationEmailYoumayreceiveanemailinvitationfromSamHoustonStateUniversitywithinstructionsandalinktocompletetheregistrationprocess.Ifyoureceivethisemail,wealreadyhavearecordforyouinourdatabase,andmayhavesomepreliminaryinformationinyourprofile.Belowisanexampleoftheemailyouwillreceive:
