CM invited visitors to come in and take a load off. Eliminator is now part of the ADJ family. Calzone/Anvil remains the top rock ‘n’ roll case company. AC Lighting was there with its extensive lineup of live event solutions. Global Truss featured structures in color. Apollo Design offers lights and confirmed their leadership in the world of gobos. T he NAMM show took place in Anaheim, CA from Jan. 24-27. With over 115,000 attendees, this trade show remains the largest in North America devoted to the music business, and rivals Proli- ght+Sound/Musikmesse in Frankfurt for global bragging rights. We stopped in at the booths of dozens of PLSN’s friends to say “Hi,” talk shop and grab a photo op. Along with the exhibits inside the Convention Center and the bands playing outside, the Parnelli Awards were a big hit at the Anaheim Hilton next to the Convention Center, as were the Pro Production educational series. (For more on those events, see related stories on page 7 and pages 20-27.) Here’s a look at what some of the live event-oriented companies were offering at NAMM 2019. It’s not ex- actly like being there yourself, searching out each exhibitor among 2,200 other companies hawking every- thing from guitars to tubas.
