Project: Baku, 1st European Games Opening Ceremony Assembly, finishing, commissioning, programming and operation of the �Libra� � a key set piece in

one scene of the ceremony. 2.4T in weight and consisting of a motorised system with two 4m diameter disks finished in gold and silver leaf, the Libra traversed on the flying system at a height of 40m to the centre of the stadium with a performer on each of the disks, lowered into the centre

of the 80m stage revolve and rotated using the bespoke internal worm-drive motor.

Project: Baku, 1st European Games Closing Ceremony Assembly, finishing and commissioning of the �Chandelier� � a key set piece in the finale scene of

the closing ceremony. 10m diametre aluminium sphere with 250 wirelessly controlled LED lanterns that were activated simultaneously as part of a full illumination with a further 2000

lanterns on the field of play.

Sochi, Winter Olympics 2014 Opening Ceremony Assistant Site manager for the opening ceremony, we were tasked with assembling 13 40�

containers filled with the ariel scenicery shown in the following pictures. The elements of scenery were on a vast scale with a 1:1 scale model of a train that weighed 6.5T. I was charged with

leading the local build teams, assembleing, dressing, finishing and commissioning the items ready for flying on the bespoke aeriel system, the biggest of which that has ever been built.
