Digital Thermostatic MixersTake showering to a new level with a digital mixershower from Redring. By utilising the latest wire-freetechnology, a portable handheld remote controls aseparate thermostatic mixer unit that blends coldand hot water to your desired temperature and flow.The base unit can be installed up to 10 metres fromthe remote, either in a ceiling, cupboard or under thebath, which makes installation both easy and flexible.

Thermostatic MixersThermostatic mixers take and blend water from bothyour hot and cold water supply – ideal for homes withreadily available hot water. Thermostatic control ensuresthat there are only ever minor fluctuations in temperaturefrom your chosen setting, even when other taps are used in your home.

ElectricElectric showers take cold water from the mains watersupply. When you turn on the shower, water is passedover a heating element to deliver a shower at yourpreferred flow rate and temperature.

What effect does the kW ratinghave on my electric shower?Electric showers only take water from your mains coldwater supply and heat this water by passing it overelectrically heated elements.

The temperature of the water you get from your showerand the flow rate is therefore determined by threekey factors:

1 the temperature of your mains cold water supply(this can typically vary from 5OC in winter to 20OCin summer)

2 the heating capacity of your element in kW

3 the pressure of your mains water supply

In simple terms, the higher the kW rating, the betterthe potential water flow rate from your shower at yourpreferred showering temperature.

As a guide you can see below how the kW ratingaffects your shower flow:

up to 18% more flow than a 7.2kW shower

The new Digimix shower fromRedring is our most advanceddesigner shower. With intelligentuser features and versatileinstallation options, the Digimixshower will fit perfectly into yourbathroom.

So how does it work? The system is comprised of twoelements; a compact thermostatic base unit and awireless remote control.

The compact base unit takes your hot and cold watersupplies and thermostatically mixes them to your desiredtemperature and flow rate - all under the command ofthe stylish wireless remote control handset.

This wire-free technology means that the base unit canbe placed almost anywhere and within 10m of theremote control handset. This siting flexibility makesinstallation as simple as possible - enhanced through achoice of four accessory kits.

Wireless remote controlThe battery operated remote control can be used fromalmost anywhere in your home, but it comes completewith a neat wall mounted docking station to keep it outof the way in your shower.

Three programmable memory buttons – one for you, theremainder for other users – enable you, for example tostart your shower from the bedroom at your preferredtemperature and flow rate. The remote control will thensignal when your shower is at the right temperature foryou to step in.

The remote control offers 11 temperature and 7 flow ratesettings, all under advanced thermostatic control to keepthe temperature constant even if other appliances ortaps are running in your home.
