How are our students progressing?

Use Diagnostic Reading Assessment (DRA) scores for the current year of 2011-2012

Given September, February using May of 2011 as a baseline

Findings showed that white students retained information from the previous year better than minority students

Both sets of students showed significant progress through the school year

Based on the results of the evaluation, the program has been proven to be effective and provide growth to all students.

However, the regression over the summer by the minority students is a cause for concern.

Use 4-Sight scores for the current year of 2011-2012

Given September, February using May of 2011 as a baseline

Findings showed that all students retained information from the previous year

White students showed a significantly higher progression of concepts through the school year but the level of progression was not enough to show proficiency

Current Math Program Evaluation Findings

includes 3 teachers (3-5), transportation for 1 hour 2 days a week
