Does the sign from the biggest company in town in your yard enhance your chances of a quick sale? Should You List Your Home with a Large or Small Real Estate Company?

description

Buyers are looking for houses, not real estate companies. Why the sign of the biggest real estate company in town will have little or no impact on how quickly your home sells. Reasons why the real estate agent is more important than the company she works for.

What Buyers Want Buyers are looking for houses, not real estate

companies. If they like the house they'll call the number on the sign, regardless of the size of the company listing it.

That's assuming they even see the sign. More than likely they'll do what we all do these days when we need anything - They'll go and search for houses on the Internet!

The Internet is King - Buyers Are Online! Most buyers start their search online - At least

94% according to the latest statistics. If it's Trulia or Zillow where they find your home, it won't make the slightest difference what the name or size of the company is. What will make a difference is how well your house "shows" online.

Does Your House Stand Out Online? Does your house jump out compared to the

(many) other homes it's competing with for buyers attention?

Buyers are presented with MANY choices on the

Internet. If your house isn't presented in a way that entices buyers to find out more they will just click right past it and move onto the next house…

Why You Should Care about the Agent You Hire Your top priority as a seller is to find a

Company that excels on the Internet. And therein lies the myth… The Company is only a small part of the equation - Their reputation is important, but not their size.

Companies don’t market your home –

Agents do!

Understanding How Real Estate Works Realtors are independent contractors. Big company

or small company, every agent is responsible for taking care of their own listings and how they are marketed.

There are good agents at large brokerages and

good agents at small brokerages. That's why it's important to choose the agent you work with based on their knowledge of the real estate market and their marketing skills, NOT on the company they work for.

Want to Sell Your Home? Think Like a Buyer! Buyers are looking for houses, not real estate

companies. To get your home sold, hire an agent who cares

less about their company, (big or small), and more about getting your house in front of buyers – That is what will get it sold!
