After finding a fan’s post about her love for Barack Obama Tumblr and VH1 Tumblr, we reblogged and engaged with her.

Little did we know…. Barack Obama would reblog us and start a grand GIF war using Darren Crisss (one of Tumblr’s favorite topics) to promote voter registration.

• In an effort to support sister Tumblrs within the Viacom network, VH1 reblogged support for a AfterElton poll about fandom shipping (supporting different pairings of characters from TV shows)

• By supporting a particular ship (Sterek – two characters on Teen Wolf) and bantering with AfterElton, fans started to ship the two blogs together, calling us Vhelton.

• Other Tumblrs like EW (involved in the original poll creation) and Teen Wolf commented in the exchange and thus became characters within the meta Vhelton shipping story.
