Illuminating the Darkness

And as the cars drove past the chapel building, a slight glow in the distance gave the appearance of a lantern or lighthouse in the distance. Perhaps it was just the feeling of lost, but the snow had always taken away the life in everything. The grey sky never helped, its threat of another wave of death would only prove to make the reality of the matter worse. Maybe the one thing, if I could say, about this cold season, is that happiness does exist somewhere. While I still see the threat of despair and depression lingering above us in this wretched snow, I also see the struggle each and every one of us face. We force ourselves to survive in an area that has no habitability, only to see the day at which all things bloom and grow, no matter how long it takes. Even in the darkest days of this cold and forsaken place, theres still light at one end of the clouds. Light still shines through the darkened sky, and illuminates what otherwise is total darkness. Let the trees defeat the gripping cold, let the birds survive another day, and let the light illuminate it all.
