INTRODUCTION

GODAWARI GREEN ENERGY LIMITED (GGEL) IS A FLAGSHIP COMPANY OF THE HIRA GROUP IN THE RENEWABLE ENERGY SECTOR.

GGEL’S FOCUS AREA IS POWER GENERATION USING RENEWABLE SOURCES SUCH AS SOLAR ENERGY, GEOTHERMAL ENERGY, WIND ENERGY ETC.

THE COMPANY WAS INCORPORATED AS A 100% SUBSIDIARY OF THE GODAWARI POWER & ISPAT LTD IN THE YEAR 2009.

IT WORKS ON THE PRINCIPLE OF EMI(ELECTRO-MAGNETIC INDUCTION) OF FARADAY.

IT IS CONNECTED TO LP AND HP TURBINE DIRECT AND INDIRECT RESPECTIVELY.

IT IS AN ELECTRICAL DEVICE THAT TRANSFER ELECTRICAL ENERGY FROM ONE SIDE TO ANOTHERSIDE WITHOUT CHANGE IN ITS FREQUENCY.

TRANSFORMER IS USED TO CONVERT 10.5KV INTO 132KV FOR TRANSMISSION TO GSS(GRID SUB-STATION).

POWER PLANT AT DESIRED VOLTAGE LEVEL TO

THE NEAREST GRID OR TRANSMISSION LINE. THE SWITCHYARD IS PROVIDED WITH NECESSARY

ISOLATORS, CIRCUIT BREAKERS, CURRENT TRANSFORMER, POTENTIAL TRANSFORMERS, SURGE ARRESTORS, WAVE TRAPS, PROTECTIVE RELAYS, PLCC ETC.

SWITCHYARD IS CONTROLLED FROM DCS WHICH WILL BE LOCATED IN POWER BLOCK CONTROL ROOM.
