D U R A T I O N : 4 1 / 2 H O U R S T O U R C O D E : V L C - 0 1 5 Experience the diversity of the Valencian region during this tour that showcases two wonderful, yet completely different worlds: an ultra-modern cultural complex in the heart of the city, and a vast, pristine wetlands south of town.

Starting off from the pier, you'll first enjoy a panoramic drive through downtown Valencia that highlights its most iconic attractions. Founded by the Romans in 137 B.C., Valencia has transitioned into one of Europe's most sophisticated modern cities. There's no better place to behold that side of Valencia than at the City of Arts and Sciences, a cluster of futuristic-looking buildings devoted to art and culture. After a stop there for photos, you'll continue your driving tour of Valencia, before finally leaving the city behind and heading south to nearby Albufera Natural Park.

In complete contrast to urbane Valencia, Albufera is one of the most important wetland areas on the Iberian Peninsula. A slim strip of coastline protects it from the sea, and you'll find sand dunes which have formed, along with a curious Mediterranean pine forest and rich shrubbery growing in the sandy soil. Three canals (two natural and a third man-made) connect a lagoon and surrounding wetlands with the sea, and each has its own characteristic flora and fauna. In addition to the diversity of trees and plants found here, Albufera is also home to an especially large variety of birds. While there's no telling what species you'll see, you might possibly catch sight of black-winged stilts, crested coots, little-ringed plovers and countless migratory birds such as bee-eaters.

During your time here, you'll also have an exterior visit at a traditional "barraca" house within the park. The home offers a candid look at how the local residents live in harmony with nature while supporting themselves through fishing and agriculture. Afterwards, you'll gain yet another perspective of the park, by boarding a small boat and cruising the lake which is at the heart of Albufera. The largest lake in Spain, it provides an excellent habitat for both the permanent bird population and those that migrate here during the year. Following your leisurely lake cruise, you'll rejoin your coach and transfer directly back to the pier in Valencia.

Please note: This tour includes approximately 90-minutes of moderate walking that includes some natural and uneven surfaces. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and not recommended for those with mobility issues. Guests must be able to enter and exit the tour boat with limited assistance. Weather appropriate, casual clothing; sun cap; sunglasses; and flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.

Drive through glorious Valencia, passing its most esteemed landmarks before spending free time in the heart of the city, home to many of these attractions.

Depart from the pier and settle in for a relaxing, scenic drive past Valencia's icons, starting with the Marina Real Juan Carlos. Built to host the America's Cup, the state-of-the-art marina can accommodate nearly 650 yachts.

Continuing on, you will wind through downtown Valencia, a city that the Romans founded in 137 B.C. Although spectacularly historic, it has transitioned into one of Europe's most sophisticated modern cities. That side of Valencia is best represented at the City of Arts and Sciences, a cluster of futuristic-looking buildings. Valencia's cultural hub, the "city" includes a planetarium, science museum, open-air oceanographic park and performing arts center.

Still, history is inescapable when touring Valencia. For instance, you will see a medieval cathedral built on a site El Cid dedicated to the blessed Virgin, and the twin 15th-century Quart Towers. Other highlights nearby include the lovely North Railway Station, the still-active bullring, and the ornate city hall.

Then, there's the Columbus Market, which is housed in a magnificent Art Nouveau building adorned with colorful window panels and mosaics. The market presents an authentic snapshot of daily life, as it's always bustling with locals shopping for fresh delicacies.

Following your panoramic drive through Valencia, you will have nearly an hour of free time in the city center before returning to the pier.

Please note: This tour is primarily panoramic in nature with very limited optional walking at the stops and during free time. The tour is available to wheelchair guests who have a collapsible wheelchair, are able to make their own way on and off the coach and have an able-bodied companion to assist them. Those guests with mobility concerns are cautioned only to participate to the extent of their personal stamina and ability. Weather appropriate clothing; sunglasses; and flat, comfortable shoes are recommended.

D U R A T I O N : 3 H O U R S T O U R C O D E : V L C - 0 0 1 From the comfort of your coach, you will see the most important monuments of beautiful Valencia on this panoramic driving tour.

Third in importance after Madrid and Barcelona, Valencia was founded by the Romans in 138 BC, but it was the Muslims who had a more detectable influence upon modern Valencia. Leaving the pier, you will enjoy views of the most modern buildings in town, all belonging to this City of Arts and Sciences.

The tour will driving past the city hall, including the old Casa Ensenañza, an 18th-century building, and the New Building, 20th-century construction with a unique facade. Next is La Lonja, the city's Commodity Exchange and Maritime Consulate, built in the 15th century. Typical of the modernist era is the Central Market; planned and built in the first years of the 19th century.

Other notable sights include the Cathedral and Chapel of the Holy Chalice, dating back to the 13th century and built on the site of a mosque which had, itself, replaced a Roman temple. Inside, the Chapel of the Holy Chalice contains the chalice which legend says was used by Jesus Christ at the Last Supper.

The tour concludes with views of the Basilica de la Virgen de los Desamparados, built between 1652 and 1667 and dedicated to Our Lady of the Abandoned, the patron virgin of Valencia; Quart Towers, a former gate of the medieval wall, built in 1444; and Serranos Towers, a former prison surrounded by a moat and built around 1391.

Please note: This tour involves some walking during the free time scheduled to allow guests time to browse the area and shops at the town center, before returning to the pier. There is also a brief walk between the drop-off/pickup-point and the city center.

D U R A T I O N : 4 H O U R S T O U R C O D E : V L C - 0 0 6 Explore the architectural diversity of Valencia through historic landmarks that include its medieval Cathedral and Central Market. Then sample several distinctive regional wines.

Depart from the pier and drive directly to the modern City of Art and Sciences for a photo stop. Valencia's cultural hub, the "city" includes a planetarium, science museum, open-air oceanographic park and stunning performing arts center. Designed by Valencia architect Santiago Calatrava, the landmark building is absolutely spectacular in size and silhouette, as it contains four different concert halls devoted to opera, ballet, music recitals and cinema.

Continuing on, you'll pass the city's bullring and lovely North Railway Station before stopping at the twin Quart Towers, which were built in the 15th century as part of Valencia's defensive walls. The remainder of the tour is mostly walking, initially over to D.O. Valencia for a wine tasting of as many as five different vintages.

The D.O. refers to the Denomination of Origin, meaning the wines were produced in the Valencia region, which consists of more than 80 wineries or "bodegas." Wine has been produced here since Neolithic times, and Valencia has become Spain's largest wine export center. Valencia's best-known wine is a traditional dessert wine made from moscatel grapes.

Following the tasting, you'll walk to the city's medieval Cathedral, built on a site El Cid dedicated to the blessed Virgin, and then over to the Central Market, which incredibly has occupied the same location since the 13th century. Later, you'll drive back to the pier.

Please note: This tour includes approximately 2-hours of walking, that includes negotiating some cobblestone surfaces and there will be some steps to negotiate. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns. Your tour begins in Alicante, capital of the Costa Blanca (White Coast), also known as the Ciudad de la Luz or the City of Light. It is situated on the shores of a large deep bay which forms a magnificent natural harbor. Arriving in the old quarter of the city, you will commence a walking tour where one of the sites you will be able to view is the 18th century Neo-Baroque town hall. Its main features are the two barley-twist columns on the inside of the main facade, which are of Italian design. From here, you will walk to the San Nicolas de Bari Cathedral for a visit. The Cathedral dates from the 17th century and one of its most notable features is its Renaissance baroque facade. Inside, you will discover an impressive 17th century nave and a 15th century cloister.

Re-boarding your coach, you will travel from Alicante to the city of Novelda, where a visit to its most important historic building, the sanctuary of Santa María Magdalena. This religious building was built as part of a project undertaken by Novelda-based engineer, José Sala, who imbued his project with the Catalan Modernist style. This is made quite clear, as it is very much a Gaudi inspired design and has been likened to the Sagrada Familia. The side-chapel for Saint Mary Magdalene, the Patron Saint of Novelda, is located at the end, in the apse. A lovely painting attributed to Gastón Castelló can also be found behind the altar.

Following your visit to Novelda, you will travel the short distance to the Bodega Heretat de Cesilia. Upon arrival, you will have a guided visit of the wine cellar which begins in front of the main facade of the Bodega's rustic house. Included is a short introduction to the history of the wine cellar. Within the building itself you will be able to see the old machinery once used for wine-making and its evolution up until the present day. Here, you will also learn about the wine-making process - from the receiving of the grapes, all the way through the actual processing it goes through before being bottled and labeled. At the end of your guided tour, you will be invited to taste a glass of one of the wines produced here before it's time to re-join your coach and travel back to the ship.

Please note: his tour includes approximately 2 1/2 hours of moderate walking/standing. There are steps and cobblestone surfaces to negotiate, as well as a steep incline at Santa María Magdalena. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and those guests with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. Weather appropriate clothing; a hat; sunglasses and flat, comfortable walking shoes are suggested. The minimum age to participate in the wine tasting is 18 years old. 2 . A M A Z I N G G U A D A L E S T D U R A T I O N : 5 H O U R S T O U R C O D E : A L C - 0 0 3 Enjoy discovering the popular tourist town of Guadalest on this tour that takes you to this ancient military stronghold that sits perched at the top of a granite mountain.

Your tour begins with a scenic 90-minute drive that takes you past picturesque villages such as La Nucia, Polop de la Marina and Callosa d´Ensarria, all of them surrounded by a landscape that is the most beautiful in the region. Dedicated to agriculture, you will see an abundance of orange trees, avocados and nisperos.

Arriving at Guadalest, you will find one of the most emblematic tourist images of the Costa Blanca, which is undoubtedly, the picture-postcard site of the free-standing elegant bell tower and the tunnel that provides access to the old center of Castell de Guadalest. Both are found nestled in a dramatic granite mountaintop setting that leaves a lasting impression. Leaving your coach behind, you will set-off with your guide on a guided walk through the village streets. The old urban center of the town is located on the top of an outcrop, which is only accessed via a tunnel hollowed into the side of the rock. The area at the top of the rock includes the bell tower, Saint Josep Castle - where the current cemetery is located, and the recently restored Orduña House which you will visit.

The Orduña House was built after the great earthquake that demolished much of the original housing in Guadalest. One half of the house is supported by the rock while the other half occupies areas over the chapels of the adjoining church. The house is constructed of timber, plaster and stone, with four levels and an attic that is reached by several small stairways. The ground floor consists of a large reception area, wine-vault, kitchen, dining room, pantries, yards, horse-stables and barn. The remaining levels are occupied by chambers and their private quarters. The library is perhaps the most interesting feature of the house, containing a total of 1265 volumes. The catalogue of the "Ancient Books" (1500-1800) consists of 589 entries. As can be seen from the book covers, the majority of the books were acquired by the lawyer Don Francisco de Paula Orduña.

On entering the state rooms, you are able to see a staircase with a font on the right hand side. This staircase leads to a private gallery, which the Orduña family used to occupy in the church, a privilege bestowed upon them by the Archbishops of Valencia.

Following your visit to Orduña House, you will have free time to further explore the village on your own before it's time to rejoin your coach for the return journey to Alicante

Please note: This tour includes approximately 90-minutes of moderate walking/standing, plus any walking at the guests' discretion during free time. There are steps and steep cobblestone inclines to negotiate during the tour. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and those guests with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. Your coach transfer to Benidorm takes approximately 45-minutes and upon arrival, you will receive information about the city and be advised where and when to meet for your return to Alicante. Then, you are at your leisure to explore at your own pace. You will soon discover that Benidorm's most prominent features are its two large golden beaches. Levante beach located in the center of town is the more popular of the two, while Poniente beach, which is located at the far end of the town, is the more tranquil beach. The beaches here are the main attraction not only because they benefit from Benidorm´s micro climate, meaning it has hot summers and mild winters, but also because they have been awarded the Blue Flag award from the European Union and have incorporated stringent rules to keep the beaches clean and inviting.

For a small fee, visitors are allowed access to the elevators that will transport them to the top of the 43rd floor where you will be afforded amazing panoramic views of the area.

Other attractions available in this area include the wildlife park of Terra Natura and Terra Mitica, a theme park full of attractions for all ages. For those who like to take advantage of shopping opportunities, Benidorm also has a wide range of shops, both within the town itself and in a shopping center located just outside of town.

D U R A T I O N : 4 H O U R S T O U R C O D E : A L C - 0 0 5 Enjoy exploring two of the region's most charming towns on this pleasant half-day tour.

Board your coach at the pier for a scenic drive along the coastal road, passing the towns of San Juan and Campello as you make your way to Villajoyosa. La Villajoyosa is a small seaside town, famous for two things: its fishing and its chocolate. Still dependent on its fishing industry for income, each afternoon the daily catch brought in by the local fishermen is auctioned off in the port. The quaint houses that line the seafront are painted in bright rainbow colors and legend has it, that this is so the fishermen can see them from the sea. Upon arrival at the seafront, you will have free time to look around on your own before continuing on to the town of Altea.

Your route to Altea takes you along the coastal road via Albir, providing for wonderful views of the sweeping bays of the Costa Blanca. Altea's old town is an enchanting picture postcard scene of white-washed houses. Despite the steady growth of tourism in the region, Altea has managed to maintain its authentic atmosphere and remains a lovely respite from the hustle and bustle of other towns. Upon arrival, you will have a short guided walk to the famous square at the summit, where the Virgin of Consuelo Church is located. After an outside visit of the Church, you will be afforded free time to soak in the town's relaxing ambience and enjoy the wonderful views.

At the conclusion of your visit in Altea, your coach awaits to transfer you back to Alicante.

Please note: The majority of the walking on this tour is at the guests' discretion during free time. There are a considerable number of steps to negotiate to reach the old town of Altea and cobblestone surfaces. The tour is not suitable for wheelchair guests and those guests with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. D U R A T I O N : 4 3 / 4 H O U R S T O U R C O D E : A L C - 0 0 2 This tour highlights the scenic and tranquil nature of Elche´s and it's wonderful parks.

Your tour starts off with a short panoramic drive through Alicante, where you will have the chance to view the “Paseo del Puerto”, a marbled mosaic avenue imitating sea waves, and Luceros square, an impressive fountain with sculptures of horses. Following this brief city tour, you will continue on to Elche.

The city of Elche is full of diversity, from its modern bustling city center, to its surrounding tranquil nature and beauty. A popular tourist attraction amongst Spaniards, the city boasts more than a million palm trees, and has been declared the biggest palm tree grove in Europe, protected by law. Its palms can be seen across Spain in the Palm Sunday parades at Easter time.

During your time in Elche, you will visit the municipal park where the majority of the palm trees are located. From here, you will make your way to the Santa Maria Church, a 16th century church that was built on the site of an ancient Arab Mosque. It is here that the famous mystery play of Elche is carried out each year.

Continuing on, you will also visit the Huerto Del Cura (priest grove garden), where you will be surprised by a world botanical phenomenon, the Imperial palm tree, an eight-armed specimen. As Muslims occupied this area for centuries, the fountains and main lake found in the heart of the park, are all inspired in an Arabic architectural style. Before traveling back to Alicante, you will have some free time at the park to stroll about and enjoy the ambience.

Please note: This tour includes approximately 3-hours of moderate walking/standing. There are steps and gravel walkways at the municipal park. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and those guests with mobility concerns are cautioned to carefully evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. Weather appropriate clothing; sun cap; sunglasses and flat, comfortable walking shoes are suggested. The order of the sites viewed or visited may vary.

D U R A T I O N : 3 H O U R S T O U R C O D E : A L C - 0 0 1 Located in the heart of the Mediterranean, Alicante is a vibrant and popular Spanish resort town and during the years of Roman rule, was called Lucentum, the City of Light.

Departing from the pier by coach, you will first travel to Santa Barbara Castle for a visit. In terms of sheer size - both surface area and buildings - the Santa Barbara Castle is one of the largest in the Mediterranean region. Located atop Mount Benacantil, a rocky mass that soars nearly 600 feet above the sea and city, the Castle dominates the summit as well as a large part of the surrounding slopes. From this lofty position, visitors are treated to the best views of Alicante. Serving as a testament to its privileged location, traces of former settlements here have been found that date back to the Bronze, Iberian and Roman eras.

The castle has three clearly differentiated areas. The highest part contains the oldest remains (11th to 13th century), and of particular interest are the Baluarte de los Ingleses (Rampart of the English), the Sala Noble (Hall of Nobles) and the Governor's House. The intermediate part consists mainly of buildings that were constructed in the 16th century, namely the Room of Philip II, the Cuerpo de Guardia (Guard's Wing), the Baluarte de la Reina (Queen's Rampart), and

the Patio de Armas (the garrison courtyard), along with the ruins of the ancient hermitage of Santa Barbara. The third part of the Castle was added in the 18th century and here you will find the Revellín de Bon Repós (an angular embankment) and the monument to the famous soldier from Alicante, Félix Berenguer de Marquina, who was a Captain-General in the Philippines and a Viceroy of New Mexico.

Following your visit to the Castle, your tour continues to Alicante's historical district, which is located in the area around the Calle Labradores and the Rambla de Méndez Núñez - a street that a river used to pass through. In 1833, Alicante became the capital of the province and in 1851 it was the first coastal city to be linked to Madrid by train, thus becoming the national capital's main seaport. Since 1957, more than 6 1/2 million small red, black and cream tiles on the Esplanade have formed one of the most enduring images of Alicante. The Playa del Postiguet is located at one end of the Esplanade and Canalejas Park with its Fish Market - now converted into the best exhibition hall in Alicante - at the other. During your city tour, your guide will explain to you the history of the city as you walk through the Old Quarter, passing by the Town Hall Square (interior closed on Sundays) and the Cathedral of Alicante, better known as the Church of San Nicolas de Bari. One of its most interesting features is its impressive façade, which is considered one of the finest examples of Spanish Religious Baroque.

At the completion of your guided city tour, you will have free time in the Esplanada, to stroll about and shop in the many tiny stalls along the promenade, or simply relax and soak up the colorful atmosphere here before returning to the pier.

Please note: This tour includes approximately 90-minutes of moderate walking plus any walking at the guests' discretion during free time. There are steps and inclines to negotiate at Santa Barbara Castle and cobblestone surfaces in the old town. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests and those guests with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. Located at the heart of the Segura River Valley, it is surrounded by fertile agricultural land full of orange and lemon groves and vegetable fields.

Enjoy a scenic 1-hour drive to Murcia, which was founded by the moors 1200 years ago. Within the environs of this charming and still relatively undiscovered city, you can still find a mixture of cultures, which fuse together to give the city a variety of architectural styles. Upon arrival, you will first visit the Cathedral, which is found in the picturesque Plaza de Belluga square. Construction on the Cathedral was begun in the 14th century but wasn't actually finished until the 18th century, hence its mixture of architectural styles. Of particular note is the interesting Baroque façade on its west side.

After visiting the Cathedral, you will next make your way towards the Santa Clara Monastery.

Originally built over the remains of an Islamic temple, the Monastery houses one of the best collections of Islamic art found in the region. Over the centuries, the temple was converted into a monastery and today, it continues to undergo restoration work after a joint project was initiated between the town council, the monastery and various other organizations. A significant part of the monastery has now been converted into museum exhibition rooms.

Following your visit at the Monastery, you will have free time to stroll about on your own. This is an excellent

"Malaga is a city with a strong Andalusian character and those looking for an opportunity to discover this vibrant city should not miss this excursion. As you relax and enjoy a drink and light snack, you'll be utterly delighted with a traditional Flamenco performance that is carried out by a troupe of professional dancers and musicians.

A complex cultural dance characterized by its audible footwork, the roots of Flamenco can be traced back for centuries and was born as a form of expression of a persecuted people, most notably, the Gypsies of Southern Spain. The Flamenco's unique blend of influences and musical complexity is often attributed to the consequences of the decree made in Spain in 1492 by the Catholic Spanish King Fernando V and Queen Isabel. This decree mandated that everyone living under their domain convert to Catholicism. Today, there are several recognized styles of Flamenco dance

Please note: This tour is not available to wheelchair guests. Those with mobility concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability and stamina. The ride to the Flamenco show is approximately 25 minutes each direction. Comfortable walking shoes are suggested."

A wonderful introduction to the charms of Malaga, this highly informative excursion presents the architectural highlights with brief stops for photos.

Depart from the pier and begin driving through Malaga, an exuberant city on Spain's sun-blessed Costa del Sol. Settled nearly 3,000 years ago, Malaga bears the architectural influence of numerous conquerors, including the Romans and the Moors. Driving about the leafy streets, you will notice that even the municipal buildings are extraordinary, especially Malaga's neo-Baroque city hall, which rises majestically above its surrounding gardens.

Still, the most prominent structure is Gibralfaro Castle, a 10th-century fortress so revered that its image appears on the seal and flag of Malaga Province. The castle's name derives from the fact that it was constructed on the remains of a lighthouse, as Gibralfaro means "rock of the lighthouse." It was here in the summer of 1487 that the forces of Ferdinand and Isabella laid siege to Malaga, eventually establishing it as Christian. A brief stop at the castle's Belvedere viewpoint affords you a sweeping perspective of the city.

The Cathedral of Malaga is another architectural highlight. Its construction began in 1528 and continued sporadically over the next 250 years. Nevertheless, the second tower in the original plans was never built, and today the stone cathedral is known affectionately as "La Manquita," the one-armed lady. After visiting, you will have free time in Malaga for shopping or simply to savor the city's ambiance before returning to the pier.

D U R A T I O N : 3 1 / 2 H O U R S T O U R C O D E : A G P - 0 0 4 This tour begins with a short transfer and orientation tour from the port to the cith center. Upon arrival in the city, your guided walking tour will start outside the Cathedral and then head to Plaza de la Merced in the very historic center of the city, near monuments such as the Alcazaba, (the Arabic Castle) and the Roman Theatre. At Plaza de la Merced you will make your way to the house where Picasso was born, which now belongs to the Picasso Foundation.

In August 1997, the whole building went through extensive renovations, and the Foundation then took possession of it. The Picasso Natal House was built in 1861 by the architect Diego Clavero, and was completed by Rafael Moreno and Gerónimo Cuervo, on unused ground left after splitting up the convent of Santa María de la Paz. The house was rented by José Ruiz Blasco, father of the artist, from 1880 to 1884. In 1891, Picasso's father took a job as a drawing professor in La Coruña, and consequently, the family moved to that city.

After the visit to the house, proceed to the museum, just a 5-minute walk. The museum is located in the Palacio de Buenavista, an historical building characteristic of 16th-century Andalusian architecture where Renaissance and Mudejar-elements are mixed.

The collection inside the museum reunites paintings, sculptures, drawings, ceramic, and graphic works from periods dating from 1890 to 1973. In the museum there are works from all Picasso periods. At the end of the tour, you will enjoy some free time before transferring back to the pier.

Please note: Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes for this walking tour which involves approximately 2 hours of easy, but extensive walking.

Along the way, make a photo stop at the American War Memorial and pass by the Trafalgar Cemetery, both located just outside the city walls. Stopping atop Europa Point, you'll enjoy a magnificent view of North Africa, just 12 miles across the Straits of Gibraltar. As you enjoy the view, you will come to appreciate why this territory was and continues to be of such strategic importance to the British Navy.

Next, you'll travel to the Gibraltar Crystal Factory, where you'll see glassblowers at work, discover the history of the factory, and browse an exhibition of colorful, one-of-a-kind crystal. Following this visit, your guide will take you on a tour of the City Center. Travel back through time and immerse yourself in Gibraltar's history during the Moorish, Spanish and British periods. During your guide's narrative, you will learn all about the development of Gibraltar's people and its culture, utilizing themes elaborated on at the different stops.

independently around the many terraces, you are afforded splendid views of the city of Gibraltar to the west, the coastline of Africa to the south, the Spanish Mainland to the north and the Blue waters of the Mediterranean to the east. To round out the experience, the Mons Calpe Suite has been reserved for our exclusive use and drinks and canapés will be served, accompanied by live music. There's plenty of time to enjoy the ambience here before it's time to ride the cable car back down to the base.

Afterwards, you will have the choice of returning directly to the pier, or staying in town to enjoy some free time exploring Main Street, a bustling street with shops that sell everything from fashions to designer sunglasses, Chinese linen to electrical equipment. Alternatively, you may wish to relax for a bit in the pedestrian-friendly Irish Town in a pub or café, or perhaps even return to the Crystal Factory to help create your very own unique piece of art. Those guests who elect to remain in town will have 40-minutes of free time until the bust returns to pick them up for the transfer back to the pier. Those who miss the transfer will be responsible for making their own way back to the ship, at their own expense.

Please note: This tour includes approximately 2-hours of easy to moderate walking, plus any additional walking at the guests' discretion during free time. The tour is conducted via minibuses which do not have room to store wheelchairs; therefore, this tour is not available to wheelchair guests. Continuing along Devil's Tower Road, skirt the base of the Rock's magnificent north face. As you gaze up the towering wall of limestone, you will understand why this tiny colony has presented would-be invaders with such an imposing obstacle.

Soon, you will reach the eastern edge of Gibraltar's peninsula, watching as the small fishing village of Catalan Bay comes into view. This storied place is where the original Genoese immigrants chose to settle during the Napoleonic Wars.

Beyond the outskirts of town, pass the American War Memorial and the Trafalgar Cemetery on your way to Europa Point. From this spectacular vantage point, you can see the Trinity Lighthouse. On a clear day, you can even glimpse the North African coast, a mere 12 miles across the Strait of Gibraltar.

From here, proceed to the renowned Rock Hotel for a true taste of British culture: hot tea and a tempting array of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Return to your ship following your relaxing repast.

Important Notes: It is recommended that guests dress in warm, layered clothing and wear flat, comfortable shoes. Guests should also bring raingear in case of inclement weather. The order of sights visited may vary.

D U R A T I O N : 2 H O U R S T O U R C O D E : G I B - 0 0 1 Join us for this scenic and informative tour of the many fascinating sites found on the Rock of Gibraltar.

The British-influenced, Rock of Gibraltar is situated in the Mediterranean Sea. The Rock was named in 711 AD, when it was captured by the Moorish chieftain, Tarik, and became known as the Rock of Tarik, or Gib el Tarik. After successive Moorish, Spanish and British invasions, its name was changed to Gibraltar.

Depart the ship for a drive along Winston Churchill Avenue, passing the Cross of Sacrifice along the way. You will also see the airstrip, where only flights emanating from the UK are permitted to land. Next, you will drive down the Queen's Road, home to panoramic vistas of the picturesque harbor, then up to St. Michael's Caves, a series of underground chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites.

Continue on for a visit to the Ape's Den to view its collection of famous Barbary apes and tailless Moroccan monkeys. Popular legend has it that as long as the apes continue to thrive here, Britain will retain control of Gibraltar. When their population was threatened, Winston Churchill issued orders for the maintenance of the ape colony. To this day, there remains a designated Officer of the Apes, who feeds them at 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, daily.

Please note: This tour involves approximately 300 yards of walking and 75 steps to enter St. Michael's Cave. The cave can be viewed from the exit. Guests who elect to stay in town will be responsible for making their own way back to the pier.

The ultimate overview of Cadiz, this panoramic driving tour passes a multitude of landmarks that offer a sweeping look at this ancient town perched on a tiny peninsula in southern Spain.

Depart from the pier and begin driving through Cadiz, a town founded as a Phoenician trading post in 1100 B.C. Considered the oldest continually inhabited city in Europe, Cadiz exudes history, particularly through its glorious architecture.

The wonderfully ornate Town Hall was erected in 1799 upon the foundation of another building that was constructed at least 100 years earlier. Sprawling across land reclaimed from the sea, tranquil Plaza Espana is filled with historical monuments, including one that celebrates the constitution of 1812. Then, there is Cadiz's golden-tile domed cathedral, which was started in 1720 but not finished until 116 years and seven architects later.

But architecture is only one of the highlights viewed on this panoramic city tour. For serenity and natural beauty, few places rival Alamada Park and Genoves Park, where you will enjoy a bit of free time. Unexpected ocean views occur frequently during the drive, but the absolute best perspective of the sea will be from the late 16th-century Santa Catalina Castle. It overlooks spectacular Playa Caleta, an isolated yet popular stretch of sand featured in the James Bond movie "Die Another Day." After approximately two hours of driving, you will return to the pier.

Please note: This tour is panoramic in nature with very limited optional walking at the stops.

D U R A T I O N : 3 H O U R S T O U R C O D E : C A N - 0 0 2 Discover Cadiz's exquisite historic sites and architecture during this picturesque walking tour through the city. You'll see the Plaza de San Juan de Dios, the Town Hall, and the 18th century Baroque and neo-classical Cathedral. It took 116 years to complete, so the mix of styles is evident. Construction began in the Baroque style and was completed in the neoclassic style. There are sculptural works from the old cathedral inside. The towers and the sacristy were built last, in the 19th century. The vaults of the high altar and the choir stalls are noteworthy, although the latter are not from the cathedral. There are some very beautiful Baroque images. The church is topped with a dome of gilded brick, which gives it an impressive look. The brilliant Manuel de Falla is buried in the crypt. Discover the interesting interior, including the museum which belongs to the cathedral and which contains the treasure of the cathedral.

Following your visit, you will walk to Plaza Flores and then on to Plaza de España, crossing the Plaza San Antonio and the Plaza Mina, before your walk brings you back to the pier.

Please note: Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes for this tour, which takes place entirely on-foot. Guests with limited mobility and guests who utilize a wheelchair will not be permitted on this tour. Dress conservatively,

With the discovery of the "New World," the city became the headquarters for Spain's exploration fleet and treasure ships. The resulting trade with the Americas made it the richest port in Western Europe. The old city stands proudly on a tiny promontory, protected by stout 13th-century fortress walls. Palm trees, gracious squares, flower-filled parks, ubiquitous red-tile roofed buildings, and bustling street markets make Cádiz a most delightful port. After driving around the old town, you will proceed on foot through the Barrio del Populo, past medieval bastions and marvelously restored buildings to Cathedral Square where you can view the exterior of the 18th-century church that is located here. Following some free time, continue to the Fine Arts and Archaeological Museum for a guided visit of its treasures.

Please note: Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, as this tour includes approximately 2 1/2 hours of walking at times over uneven or cobblestone surfaces and approximately 20 steps to negotiate. This tour is not suitable for wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns.

In fact, excellent wine and sherry have been made here for almost three millennia, ever since the Phoenicians arrived in the 7th century BC with their vines and wine-making skills. The Moors held Jérez for almost 400 years until Alfonso of Castile retook it in 1264. The city is noted for its superb architecture and you'll drive past some of the city's magnificent mansions and churches such as the splendid Collegiate Church of San Salvador built between the 16th and 18th centuries. Enjoy a walk through the old quarter and see the elegant Church of San Dionisio with its beautiful ceiling and baptismal chapel. Jérez's 12th century Alcázar is part of the massive walled enclosure that was once the residence of the Caliph of Seville. You will then visit one of the city's 36 bodegas, or cellars, devoted to the making and selling of sherry. You'll see how the wine is classified and the method used to blend old wine and new. Of course, there will be an opportunity for tasting.

Please note: Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, as this tour includes approximately 1.5 hours of walking and/or standing in the wine cellar.

This outstanding tour begins with a lovely scenic drive to Medina Sidonia, one of the famous "White Villages". Walk through the narrow, cobblestones streets of this picturesque village, before you proceeding to your second stop at the dramatic white-washed enclave of Arcos de la Frontera. Situated on a rocky promontory with the River Guadalete winding at its feet, this charming village bears witness to its Arab past with its labyrinth of steep, narrow streets and exceptional architecture. Upon arrival, you will embark an electric train to reach the historic town center where you will start your walking tour. In the center you will find a wealth of monuments and marvelous buildings. At the heart of this area is the Plaza del Cabildo which is surrounded by the Town Hall and impressive Ducal Castle - a Muslim fortress re-built in the 15th century. Before continuing on, you will be given a photo opportunity at one of the many outstanding viewpoints that offers splendid panoramic views of the valley below.

Making your way along small, narrow lanes, you'll no doubt be enchanted by the quaint cube-shaped white houses you'll come across that are beautifully adorned with pots of vibrant blooming flowers and colorful blue ceramic tiles. Nestled amongst these delightful homes you will discover the "Iglesia de San Pedro." This impressive fortress-like church with its neoclassic bell tower is perched in what would appear to be a perilous cliff-hanger of a position. Once inside this precariously poised 16th century church, you'll find an amazing gilded altarpiece which details the life of San Pedro as well as paintings that are attributed to Francisco de Zubaran, a celebrated Spanish artist known primarily for his religious paintings. Following your visit here, some free time will be allowed to further explore on your own before rejoining your guide.

Your final stop will be at the Parador de Arcos, an inviting hotel located in the old Casa del Corregidor. After a 1-hour scenic ride through the Portuguese countryside, guests will feel like they have traveled back in time as the tour arrives at the medieval town of Obidos.

The origins of this quaint, little castle town, rising majestically above the beautiful gaeiras vineyards, are obscured in history, however, may date as far back as 308 BC. It was conquered by the Portuguese in 1148. 150 years later, King Diniz made the town his wedding gift to his young bride, while he was passing through, because she had admired the ramparts twining "like a ribbon around a bouquet of shining white houses." From then on, Obidos was the wedding gift given to all of Portugal's queens.

The walking tour begins by exploring the most picturesque streets and visit the 17th-century parish church of Santa Maria, whose interior has a magnificent decoration of the famous blue and white tiles. From Pillory Square, your guide will explain how you can continue exploring the narrow lanes lined with smart shops that lead the way up to the castle (now converted into a Pousada), or explore the old lookout path on top of the wall encircling the city.

Free time in Obidos offers an excellent opportunity to do some great craft-shopping or relax in one of the charming outdoor cafés while enjoying the local ambience. Reboarding the coach, you will return to Lisbon by first passing

Sightseeing in this area would not be complete without a visit to the 18th-century palace of Queluz. Queluz Palace was a small and modest place until the reign of Queen Maria I, who decided to transform it into her favorite residence. Like elsewhere in Europe, the Portuguese Court was trying to imitate the life style of Versailles and although there is no possible way to compare, this is certainly a lovely Portuguese manor with a very strong touch of French decoration. The visit to the interior is also a great way to learn more about 18th and 19th century Portuguese history. The park and gardens are inspired by the famous gardens of Le Nôtre.

After a brief stop for photos at Cabo da Roca, you'll continue on to famous Sintra, a small village built against the northern slope of the Serra de Sintra Mountains. The village is well-known for its charming narrow roads that are enveloped in lush greenery, its climbing flowers and the semi-tropical, vine-like plants which trail from mossy walls and balconies. Noble houses and palaces with walled gardens and stately courtyards are scattered throughout the forested hills, nestled in the soft and invitingly cool microclimate that this mountain location provides for the town and surrounding area. Upon arrival, you will have approximately 1-hour of free time to explore on your own and discover the charms of this delightful and characteristic Portuguese village.

Re-boarding your coach, you will make your way back to Cascais, where you can take in the sights of this well-known resort area at your leisure before it's time to transfer back to the pier.

Please note: While this tour includes a limited amount of walking, it is mainly over uneven and cobblestone surfaces. Lisbon, the capital of Portugal since the 13th century, is an old city whose origin is lost in the mist of past eras; where history mingles with legend, and fact with fantasy. Join us for a drive by coach across Monsanto, Lisbon's largest park, and then proceed to one of the richest Portuguese palaces, the Ajuda Palace, which was the last royal residence before the proclamation of the republic in 1910. The Ajuda Palace was almost entirely decorated during the second half of the 19th century by King Louis I, and his Italian princess-wife, Maria Pia, according to their own personal tastes. It is a palace of the Victorian Age; a romantic residence with a warm atmosphere which emits the feeling that it is still inhabited. Everything has been left perfectly in preparation to welcome the palace's queen and her guests. It is a cozy and familiar place, richly decorated with tapestries, fine wood parquetry, and screens. It's walls were hung with damask, portraits of the family, and more than 40,000 objects of the royal couple's personal collections. After this journey into the last century, make your way to Alfama. Alfama is a village in the middle of the city with undying traditions and a close-knit community. It is a maze of narrow alleys and steps, with just-cleaned laundry hung on clotheslines to dry in the windows, and street vendors selling all kinds of fruit, vegetables, fish and other items. At the heart of this chaotic urban layout stands the old Romanesque cathedral - a symbol of Christianity built on the site of a former mosque in the middle of the Moorish medina. After visiting the oldest church in Lisbon, board your coach and drive through the lower town of Baixa - an area entirely rebuilt after the very violent earthquake that destroyed Lisbon in 1755. Baixa is Lisbon's principal shopping district and guests who wish to, may be dropped at Rossio Square to spend time on their own before making their own way back to the ship by taxi or public transportation.

Please note: Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes as this tour involves difficult walking over some uneven surfaces, as well as a number of steps to negotiate. On Wednesdays the "Ajuda Palace" is closed. It is not considered suitable for wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns.
