This is a list of updates to Shop-Trak. We have compiled this Enhancement Listing for your understanding of changes to Shop-Trak. If you have modified programs within Shop-Trak, please contact The Lake Companies, Inc. before upgrading.

You can obtain these enhancements for the latest version of Shop-Trak by downloading Shop-Trak 2015 from the Infor365 download site.

Product training and installation documentation is no longer provided as part of the download of (Doc-Trak or Shop-Trak). Please refer to the “Readme.doc” included with your product download for information on obtaining documentation and licenses. Thank you.

The enhancements in Shop-Trak 2015 are a direct result of three rounds of interviews with current Shop-Trak Customers. The comments and suggestions made during these calls were reviewed by the Lake Team and after hours of review, the needs of our Customers became very evident.

Upgrade Advisory:

Shop-Trak 2015 requires Report Viewer version 2010 in order to display reports on the Shop-Floor shop floor workstation.

If version 2010 does not exist on the workstation, the message “Report Viewer is Not Installed” is displayed.

Enhancements for Shop-Trak 2015

New! Shop-Trak Mobile Supervisor

For the Supervisor that is on the go, and wants up to date information on demand, the Shop-Trak Mobile Supervisor form has been added to provide current statistics and information at the touch of a finger. The form is accessible from within Syteline and designed to provide daily information specific to the Supervisor logged in to Syteline.

The screen is optimized to display on a mobile device such as a Microsoft Windows Surface Pro. The form may be refreshed at any time by clicking on the Refresh icon in the SyteLine Toolbar.

Employees are assigned a Supervisor on the Shop-Trak Employee Profile form. The Supervisor assigned, is setup as a Syteline user. When the Supervisor logs into Syteline as that user and accesses the Shop-Trak Mobile Supervisor form, they will see only information pertinent to their employees.

The data displayed in each of the graphs is cumulative data for all the Supervisor’s employees.

Details for each section displayed on the form are described below.

Section Details:

1. Employee Status Grid

The grid on the left hand side lists each of the employees for the Supervisor. Each employee is listed regardless if they are currently logged into Shop-Trak. The status of the employee is listed in the second column. The transaction type is listed along with the details for the transaction. The third column displays the Work Center the employee is currently working in.

If an employee has an attendance record in the SyteLine Attendance form, that information is also displayed in the grid. RTE employees are also displayed in the grid, with a status of ‘RTE’.

Note that employee Epstein, Michael P. has two entries. This indicates that he is currently logged in and running two jobs simultaneously.

Clicking the Refresh button on the toolbar will update all data shown.

2. Labor Utilization

The Labor Utilization chart displays a cumulative percentage of Direct labor for all employees of the Supervisor. The calculation is as follows:

Total Direct Hours/Total Paid Hours=Labor Utilization %

Direct hours are defined as Run, Direct, Setup, Work Center Labor, and Project labor transactions. For the purposes of this chart, time logged to SRO Transactions is considered as Indirect time. RTE Transactions are included in the calculation if they have start and end times on them.

Only paid Indirect Transactions are included in the Total Hours.

The current day and the previous 6 days are included in the chart.

3. First Pass Yield

The First Pass Yield chart displays the percentage of good pieces completed for all of the employees of the Supervisor. The calculation is as follows:

Total Quantity Complete/(Total Quantity Complete +Total Quantity Scrapped)=Yield %

The current day and the previous 6 days are displayed in the chart. 4. Labor Efficiency

The Labor Efficiency chart displays the cumulative labor efficiency for all of the employees of the Supervisor. The calculation is as follows:

Total Earned Hours/Total Actual Hours =Labor Efficiency %

Where:

Total Earned Hours = Quantity Complete * Planned Run Time

Total Actual Hours = Actual amount of time to produce the quantity complete

The current day and the previous 6 days are displayed in the chart.

5. Late Customer Order Jobs

The Late Customer Order Jobs displays a record for each released job that is late as of the current and previous six calendar days. The Past Due box is checked if the current date is greater than the Customer Order Line Due Date, meaning the job is past due. The records can be sorted according to the needs of the Supervisor.

Records display only the Jobs meeting all of these conditions:

Transactions that are completed in the Shop-Trak Edit Transactions and SyteLine Unposted Job Transactions forms, along with all Posted transactions.

Job Order's Days Late is greater than zero. Days Late is calculated as Customer Order Line Due Date - Job End Date.

Status is Released.

Job Order's Destination (XRef) is a Customer Order (i.e. does not include jobs with Destination of Inventory).

6. Fast Link Buttons

At the bottom of the Shop-Trak Mobile Supervisor form, there are fast link buttons to useful reports and forms. This links were designed to give the Supervisor handy access to pertinent information to help them with their daily tasks.

The Fast Link buttons may contain up to four categories for selection:

The Reports section hold links to Syteline and Shop-Trak reports. The Setup section will contain direct links to forms in SyteLine that pertain to Shop-Trak setup. The Activities section will contain direct links to forms in Syteline that will assist in daily tasks that

may need to be performed by a Supervisor. The Analysis section will give Supervisors access to historical analytical data should they choose to

dig into any of the information further. This analysis feature is referred to as “Fact-Trak” and is included with Shop-Trak 2015.

Providing Access to the Fast Link Forms

A new Shop-Trak Group has been added for easy access to the fast link forms called ‘Shop-Trak Supervisor’.

If a Syteline user is assigned this group, they will automatically have access to the Shop-Trak fast link forms in Syteline.

This group may be used as is, or modified to limit access to links that are not required.

New! Employee Efficiency Displayed on Shop-Floor

A new Shop-Trak Parameter has been added to the Flags Tab called ‘Show Employee Performance’. If enabled, employees will see a new tab on the shop floor called ‘Performance’. When the tab is selected the employee will see two charts reflecting their performance over the past 7 days.

Chart 1 – Your Work Efficiency

The Labor Efficiency chart displays the cumulative labor efficiency for the employee. The calculation is as follows:

Total Earned Hours/Total Actual Hours

Where:

Total Earned Hours = Quantity Complete * Planned Run Time

Total Actual Hours = Actual amount of time to produce the quantity complete

Chart 2 – Your % of Direct/Total Hours

New! Visual Dispatch – Multiple Resource Groups for Employee

Shop-Trak Administrators now have the ability to assign specific resource groups or resources to individual employees. This new control also includes the option to restrict employees to limited resource groups by checking the option to ‘Allow Resource Groups/Resources Only’.

This feature will keep employees focused on only the jobs assigned to their work area and eliminate errors by logging into jobs that they should not be working on.

A new grid has been added to the Controls Tab of the Shop-Trak Employee Profile:

Unchecking the ‘Allow Resource Groups/Resources Only’ will add an ‘All’ option to the dropdown.

When ‘All’ is selected, all Resouce Groups will be displayed for selection.

New! Visual Dispatch Open Job Search

A new feature has been added to the Indented Job Status tab of the Visual Dispatch. The ‘Open Job Search’ field will now allow employees to search for ANY job in ANY resource group. When the job is displayed, it will also show any parent or child jobs, giving a complete view of the status of the finish job and all sub-jobs.

The ability to quickly find any job and see the current status of all parent and sub jobs can be used as a quick reference for the Customer Service team to answer any questions a customer may have regarding the current status of their order.

In this example the search was for job 138-0001, notice that all jobs for 138-xxxx are displayed.

NOTE: If Doc-Trak is installed, the Doc-Trak Icon will also be available to view documents associated with the job.

New! Shop-Trak Enterprise Edition

Shop-Trak Customers can now request a Shop-Trak Enterprise Edition License that includes the following connector modules:

QCS FS-Plus Flex Site

QCS

The QCS module allows Shop-Trak employees to enter QCS Test results and view Doc-Trak attachments to QCS forms from the shop floor kiosk. This functionality was available in previous versions, but is now included in the Enterprise Edition license.

FS-Plus

The Service module allows Shop-Trak employees to record time to Service Repair Orders and to see Doc-Trak attachments to Service forms from the shop floor kiosk. This functionality was available in previous versions, but is now included in the Enterprise Edition license.

New! Flex Site

Also included in the Shop-Trak Enterprise Edition is the new ‘Flex Site’ feature. This new functionality is intended for companies that incorporate the “Focused Factory” approach in their production methods.

Companies that use multiple sites for focused factories within the same facility now have the ability to allow their Shop-Trak employees to work in different sites throughout the course of their day. These are referred to as “virtual sites.” The employees can change sites right from the same Shop-Trak Shop Floor workstation, or relocate to a nearby workstation and continue their day with no interruptions to their daily time collection.

There are several prerequisites required in order to implement the Flex Site feature:

A Shop-Trak Master Site license is required to utilize the Flex Site feature. A Shop-Trak Enterprise Edition License is required to utilize the Flex Site feature. Any Employee that will utilize Flex Site, must have an employee record in the Master Site along with

any other site they will need to access. Any Employee that will utilize the Flex Site option, needs to have a Shop-Trak Employee Profile,

with the same Employee ID in each site. Any employee that will utilize the Flex Site option needs to have the option enabled on the Shop-

Trak Employee Profile.

A new Shop-Trak form, ‘Shop-Trak Flex Sites,’ has been added to hold the sites available for the Flex Site option.

After a Master Site license has been successfully applied, this form will be automatically populated with each of the available sites.

The only field that can be updated is the ‘Flex Site’ field. An administrator will check this option for the sites that will be eligible for the Flex Site option.

Once the Flex Sites have been designated in the Flex Sites form, then the employees that can use Flex Site need to be defined. This is done on the Shop-Trak Employee Profile form:

As shown in the screenshot above, Employee 4 is designated as a Flex Site employee. The employee’s home site is ‘Demo’. This is the default site when the employee logs in for the day. The employee may also work in the virtual sites of MN and WI. The shift schedule and the employee’s rates will always come from the home site:

This is the only field that is updateable.

At 10:13 the employee ends the job currently running and enters the quantity complete. At this point there are no open transactions in the Demo site, so the employee has the option to change sites at this time.

Production Schedule Completions – Label Printing

Shop-Trak will now print Bartender Labels when performing a Production Schedule Complete transaction and moving completed pieces.

The Production Schedule Complete labels will use the (O) Op to Op, (S) Op to Stock label types. Simply add a new Label Rule for either of both of these label types and specify a criteria specific to the production schedule. Specific criteria may be the; Item, WC, Product Code, Customer, or Workstation Login Name, to identify the Production Schedule.

Dimensional Inventory – Pieces Tab

Shop-Trak users will now be allowed to record piece inventory when moving completed quantities to inventory. Prior to this release this option was only available when issuing material out of inventory.

Production Schedule Completions – Serial Tracked Items

When completing serial tracked items on Production Schedule Complete transactions, the ‘Add’ button has been added to the serial number form. Selecting the Add button will allow the employee to manually enter serial numbers.

Did you know??

From the Shop-Floor kiosk Doc-Trak documents can be displayed on a second monitor? Once the documents are opened on the second monitor, each time they are viewed they will be displayed on the second monitor by default.
