Shooters & StoppersToday our national weakness seems to be not on the battlefields of Europe, but on the football pitches.

Our playing seems to match our rivals but it so often transpires that ninety minutes of good play comes to naught when we loose the penalty shoot outs.

We need to practice!

A penalty shoot-out competition for:

• Championship and Premiership Teams.• All four Leagues including Leagues 1 & 2.• A “Home International Challenge”.• Mobile phone App.• Newspaper Syndication.

General NotesShooters & Stoppers• Utilizes GLT (Goal Line Technology)• Sponsorship for whole event and for individual teams• Team colours can reflect team (e.g. Reading FC) or sponsor (e.g. Waitrose).• Competition to be played either:

• Before each games as a warm up act.• As a twice a season one evening event.• As a combination of the two.

• Each player commits to a S&S side for the seasonregardless of any team transfer.

Each team to play every other team twice.

Goalkeepers have their own league with penalties saved per game to a maximum of 7 points.

Each player can take a penalty in turn (no draws – only results).1 point per goal to a maximum of 7 individual points per team until a team wins the fixture.After 7 shots, next clear advantage wins the round.

In the event of a tie a further shoot out is executed by teams with the same wins and goal difference.

based on all or any penalties scored / saved or missedby the real players during the last rolling 12 months.

• Entry is a nominal fee (say £ 1.00)• Transfers build up a credit or deficit of team “wealth”.• The winning 3 teams win a share of the pot say• 30% 20% 10%.
