Review: What are the physical changes occurs in boys and girls during puberty? B. Developmental Activities: 1. Motivation Let’s find out how a human female undergo menstrual cycle. 2. Presentation: Discuss and give the details of the following concepts: There are four phases in a menstrual cycle namely: Phase 1: This is the menstruation phase. Phase 2: The lining of the uterus becomes thin after menstruation. Phase 3: The mature egg is released. Phase 4: The lining of the uterus called the endometrium becomes thicker in preparation for implantation of the fertilized egg. 3. Concept Formation: How do human female get pregnant? What you should do during menstrual period? 4. Application: Make a diagram of the menstrual cycle of human female when first day of menstruation is April 5. Color phase 1 red; Phase 2, yellow; Phase 3, pink; and Phase 4, black. IV. Evaluation: Which phase of the menstrual cycle is being referred to? White the phase before the number. Menstrual Phase Description 1. The mature egg moves to the surface of the ovary just before the mid-cycle. 2.
