CCTV INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS  

 

Overview  Optical Solutions Australia along with Sheridan Road and Rail have supplied and commissioned a new Milestone ARCUS CCTV upgrade in partnership.  Sheridan & Sons Pty Ltd have been supplying road and rail (hi‐rail) equipment to Sydney Trains, railway infrastructure contractors and operators on an on‐call basis for over 20 years. We are always updating our fleet with the newest technology and continue to be the preferred supplier of on rail equipment for the NSW railway network.  They have an extensive fleet of trucks and 4WD’S which provide your business with the specialist equipment needed for you to get the job done. Whether it is track, overhead or signalling work, maintenance or construction, we can offer you the right machine to meet your requirements.  The delivery team supplied installed and commissioned updates to the Milestone ARCUS CCTV System to the extent specified across multiple locations onsite.   The RAZBERI ServerSwitch appliance model was powered by the Milestone Arcus VMS. This razberi™ ServerSwitch appliance combines the functions of a network video recorder (NVR), high‐powered Ethernet smart switch and embedded video management software from Milestone.   Powered by Arcus, the initial deployment of a razberi appliance is completed within minutes after connecting a wide choice of supported cameras.   The Linux‐based Milestone Arcus software is pre‐installed and ready to go, right out of the box. Software updates are rolled out automatically.  In addition to the above the AXIS M1114 with CS‐mount, varifocal DC‐iris lens was selected to provide excellent image quality without motion blur using progressive scan at 30 frames per second in 1 megapixel / HDTV resolution. The cost‐effective, compactly designed camera offers multiple H.264 and Motion JPEG streams that can be individually optimized for bandwidth and storage efficiency. 

Additional Project Scope includes the following:  The AXIS P3354 was chosen for its integrated Axis' Lightfinder technology. The outstanding light sensitivity, with maintained colours even in very poor lighting conditions, is obtained by a combination of Axis' expertise in image processing, system‐on‐chip development and selection of the best optical components.   The camera also supports P‐Iris control, allowing the camera to precisely control the position of the iris. The iris opening is optimized for depth of field, lens resolution and light inlet, resulting in superb image quality with optimal sharpness.  The Simple Megapixel Video Appliance covered the following features:  Easy to Install  The initial deployment of this razberi™ appliance is completed within minutes after connecting a wide choice of supported cameras. The Milestone Arcus software is pre‐installed and ready to go, right out of the box. The software license is included with each Arcus ServerSwitch.  Easy to Use  The simple, web‐based user interface makes it easy to view live or recorded video, export video evidence, and administer the unit. The user interface is compatible with any browser and doesn’t require any plug‐ins or active‐X controls with messy security settings. Access the Arcus ServerSwitch from any mobile device with a browser.  Easy to Maintain  Arcus updates are rolled out automatically through one‐click system updates. The Linux operating system is designed to be secure and maintenance‐free.  Optical Solutions supplied and commission a number of these new technologies including;
