Sheridan Maine (Midlands), in association with the ICAEW officially launched with a Race Night at Edgbaston Priory Club on Thursday 28 May 2015.

There were 80 attendees who on arrival received a goodie bag containing post-it notes,

pads and pencils to make notes about which horses to back, as well as a branded race card

and a list of the horses in each race. They then made their way to the drinks reception. Each horse had been named by

attendees and all the “punters” enjoyed visiting the Tote Booth to place their bets on each race.

As the races were watched and the night unfolded, everybody got really excited and involved in the event, shouting for their horses and hoping they would be able to cash in!

The evening supported “Ollie’s Bravery Fund” and 50% of all bets went straight to the charity. A fantastic £1,150 was raised from the night, which included a £250 donation from Pertemps and a large donation from one of the attendees.
