It is safe to say that hard work, determination and passion do indeed pay off. I certainly can’t overlook the unwavering support of my teachers at Ave Maria College; thank-you. Ave has truly allowed me to grow and thrive as a learner. I will always treasure the fact that I was (am) an Ave girl, but now I am more than excited to pursue excellence at the University of Melbourne, studying Science. Remember that the world is your oyster. Carpe diem my fellow Ave girls! This cohort of young women proved themselves to be talented, dedicated and a unified group who worked diligently throughout the year, working together and with their teachers to overcome any challenges, enabling them to excel. They made the most of the opportunities presented to them, always working towards their goals in a subtle and humble manner. In this way they truly followed the way of Mary modelling humility and strength. As a College we are very proud of what they have achieved. Throughout their time at Ave Maria College this group of senior students have exemplified our College Motto; Striving for Truth through Love. They have always strived to use God’s gifts in a manner that is shared, grown and sustained for all. We wish the graduating class of 2019 every success and happiness in the future as they leave us to contribute to society in a meaningful and lasting way. In closing I would like to acknowledge the wonderful work of our College staff. Their commitment and dedication to their students has been outstanding, reflecting a strong sense of moral purpose, connectedness and partnership. Congratulations to Dux Proximus Madeline Saxton | ATAR 98.80 “2019 has been an amazing year, and to top it off with this incredible achievement feels unreal. My score is not only a reflection of my hard work this year, but a testament to the extremely dedicated, passionate and supportive staff and students at Ave Maria College. I could not be prouder to be an Ave girl, and I know that I will always have a place in this extraordinary community.”
