Multiplying by 4 To quickly multiply by 4, double the

number and then double it again.

For example, 4x3=12 3 doubled is 6 6 doubled is 12

Tips to multiply by 5 To quickly multiply by 5, divide the

number by 2 and multiply by 10

finger. (count left to right until you get to that nunber)

Then read the number left to right

2 x 9 = 182

1 Imagine the 2 folded down
