NEWater:

The visit to NEWater Company was a good experience in terms of knowing about how they work & their processes of filtration like RO (Reverse Osmosis), UV(Ultraviolet) filtration etc. They have faced very well the challenge of selling water which they also get from sewage and reserves which is a psychological barrier for the people or buyers to accept. NEWater and Singapore government has undertook a really good potential which has made life just easier and better by making availability of water round the clock at all the places.

Their concept of selling treated water where natural fresh water is unavailable is a potential and important project for the government and the people not only that but also as a management student it was a whole nice experience to observe their plant and to know about their business.

Actually Indian government should also learn from Singapore’s government that where drinking water is not available in abundance like few places in Delhi and Mumbai as well, they can start treating the saline water from the sea in Mumbai and sewage water in Delhi could be used to treat and then supply to the people.

So if not government takes up this kind of potential project then might be in future any private company could take this in future. This would be a great potential project to undertake either by private or public Company for the people and Indian economy and also for the promotion of tourism industry.
