Benefits of the DRDSI project
• Platform: a common entry point for data, projects, applications,
training material, experts, user feedback, …. for the whole Region
• Facilitate coordination and collaboration (e.g. shared practices)
across the Region (including project making)
• Cross-Border and Macro-Regional! Inspire other Macro-Regions
• Open, Inclusive and Transparent business model, supporting the
re-use of PSI (Digital Agenda/DSM). Foster Data Sharing.
• Potential leverage of investments for data collection, harmonisation
and data access
• The Danube region as a testbed for the implementation of the
INSPIRE Directive and EuroIntegration
Current status and ongoing work• JRC-funded harmonisation of datasets, including
work in the JRC Nexi, will be made available through the platform
• Provision of reference data• Danube_NET is active: identifying inputs,
stakeholders and promoting the DRDSI• V1 of the platform is operational
• Currently exploring other sources of metadata/data• V2 will introduce collaborative elements
• You are welcome to join and provide feedback for improvements and ‘data proposals/pilots’
• Promote data-related projectshttp://drdsi.jrc.ec.europa.eu/
Some questions• Do you see the added value in the
platform?
• What data (or other details) could you potentially share?
• Are you able to readily produce metadata or are you likely to need assistance?
