Shanagan Project Acquisition
• Newera has an exclusive option to acquire 80% of the Shanagan Project, with a first right to acquire the
remaining 20% interest
• Drilling results to date have demonstrated over 6.5km of strike with consistent intersections of multiple
shallow black Permian coal seams
•Trenching work by Newera has also uncovered numerous at surface coal seams which require follow up work
• Lab results show potentially high quality black coal with several holes returning elevated CSN numbers
indicating potential for semi soft coking coal
• Coal seams intersected on average between 5-20m from surface indicating very low stripping ratio
• Significant exploration potential

Shanagan Project Exploration
• Initial mapping program identified up to 9 outcropping and sub-cropping coal seams within a small portion of
the overall license area
• Recent trenching work uncovered a number of near surface coal seams that require further exploration
• Coal seams exist in Late Permian coal bearing strata occupying a NE – SW trending asymmetrical syncline,
with potential for thicker and lower ash coal seams along basal sector of syncline similar to other coal deposits
in Mongolia.

Shanagan Project Drilling Results
• Recently completed 1,500m diamond drilling program
consistently intersected shallow black coal
• Highlighted intercepts:
– SHDR09R intersected 19.45m of cumulative net coal from 9.8m depth
– SHDH14 intersected 12.8m of cumulative net coal from 9.1m depth
– SHDH17 intersected 7.5m of cumulative net coal from 16m depth
– SDH06R intersected 7.1m of cumulative net coal from 16.8m depth
– SHDH11 intersected 7m of cumulative net coal from 5.8m depth
•Over 6.5km’s of strike length with additional drilling required
to fully understand exploration upside
• Unmapped coal prospective sequences with abundant organic
material to the west and south also requires follow up mapping
and trenching
• 15 line km Dipole Dipole geophysical survey recently
completed with modelling of results pending – will give further
clarity for follow up drill targeting

Shanagan Project Coal Quality
• Samples returned from 7 holes thus far have shown low moisture, high ash, low sulphur and high calorific
value black coal with average approaching 8000 kcal/kg (daf)
• Several samples also returned elevated CSN numbers indicating the potential for a semi soft coking coal
• In field logging by consulting geologists recognises potential for separation of ash particles

Shanagan Project - Achievements to-date
• Newera has reviewed in excess of 25 Mongolian projects to date covering a range of commodities
• Shanagan Project was selected because of the numerous historically identified coal seams that outcropped
at surface, its exploration upside, its close proximity to rail and the favourable acquisition terms
•Newera has set up operational capabilities in country and engaged Mongolian experienced geological
consultants including Nordic Geological Solutions LLC
• Our geological consultants, with extensive experience in Mongolia, have led the mapping exercise,
trenching and recently completed diamond drilling program
• Numerous new coal seams have been identified at surface and drilling has consistently intersected shallow
black coal
• Laboratory results have confirmed the potential for a high quality black coal, with some samples indicating
potential for semi soft coking coal (further results pending)
• A Dipole Dipole geophysical survey has recently been completed with modelling results pending, to give
Newera further clarity on the coal geology/structures, resource potential and new drill targetsFor
