Hebrews 11:6 “The Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved” (Acts 2:47). And the Lord did add another 4 new members to Shalom in the past month – Mr. Ng, from the Chinese Ministry, and bro Denzil Ti and his wife Kym and his son Azel, who were added by acceptance based on a statement of faith. We rejoice in the new addions and let us be a blessing to them as they seek to serve the Lord with us as one body in Christ. A ‘Pulpit Commiee’ comprising of Pastor Ter, Pastor Tan, Deacon Liang Siah and Joel, as well as myself, has been set up to examine bro Chris Cheong for the posion of the Senior Pastor. A memo of the chain of events has been given to the church and the pastors and deacons welcome all clarificaon on this maer. Let us be prayerful as we seek the Lord’s perfect will concerning the future of the church. I am confident the Lord will guide us through this important decision of Shalom. On the 27 th Oct, Shalom has finally crossed the 300 mark in church aendance. We praise God for 303 people in church on that historic Sunday. Our average aendance has gone up to 293, to which, we rejoice in the Lord’s doing in our midst. Our website has been a blessing in several of our first- me visitors coming to church. Let us be a blessing to the new visitors as we genuinely minister to them. And let us pray and move forward in a greater way for the glory of God. I had the privilege to be in Hokkaido Japan to be with missionary Tony Evans, a missionary from Australia, and to preach in his church. He has been ministering in Hokkaido for the last 27 years and their church, Suzuran Bible Bapst Church, has about 60 members. It is the biggest Bapst church there. Japan is a difficult field as most Japanese are steeped in Shintoism. They have raised about $650,000 for their new church building and are sll in need of another $250,000 for their renovaon, which is a requirement by the government to show proof that they are purchasing it for the church. We will be collecng a love giſt for them on the third Sunday of the month. Let us be a blessing to our brethren in Hokkaido. From the Mission Fields Missionary Jireh Nono, Thailand

Dear Pastor Wee and Church Family, Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ from BBM-Chonburi, Thailand. We are so thankful and blessed for continuously supporting and praying to our Mis-sion Work here in Thailand. Though there’s a lot of challenges and difficulties in a Mission Field, the grace of God is always sufficient to enable me as His Servant.

Last July 29, 2018 we celebrated our First Mission Anniversary at Rattanachol Hotel with God’s tre-mendous favor. We have total attendance of 110 people both Thai and Filipinos also God has given us 10 profession of Faith. It was very encouraging to me as a Missionary that our people learn to be involved in reaching people for Christ.

God has been blessing our attendance in every Sundays that we are praying for new meeting place. The maximum attendance that our place can accommodate right now is only 30-35 people which we can-not campaign for more visitors every Sunday. Please help us pray that we could find a meeting place that can accommodate 80-100 people.

Another Blessing that our Mission Work has for this month of October was when God has given us fruits from our labor in our Outreach at the District of Bowin. By giving us two souls that followed God in Water Baptism Last October 22, 2018. God has been good to us by proving that He is still the same God in this foreign country that can save souls and work the hearts of His people to obey Him.

Please pray for me as I continue to serve God in Thailand, most especially for my monthly personal needs and the needs for the Ministry (Building rentals). I didn’t undergo any deputation to other churches when I started the Ministry here in Chonburi, but I thank the Lord for His provisions in the field and for using all of you to support and pray for me and became my partners in the ministry.

Special Prayer Request: 1. Salvation of Thai People 2. Medical Mission (Nov 6-7) -Pray for the salvation of 500 patients that will come to hear the Gospel 3. Down payment for Church Vehicle (Remaining Amount to be raised until Dec. 23, 2018 – (2000 USD or 65,000 Baht or 104,000 Php.)

Shalom’s Vision

Shalom Baptist Church is a church where our first love for God is our first work;

where our Christianity is a relationship rather than a religion; where the lost and foreign mission are our constant care;

where the purity of the gospel truth is jealously guarded and taught; and where our membership is, in essence, stewardship.

We are fundamental in our belief, evangelistic in our outlook, and loving, as we have been taught.

Above all, Shalom is a church where the last word of our Lord Jesus Christ is our first command: ‘All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them

in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Amen.’ (Mt 28:18-20)

Missionary Juan Empleo, Restricted Country

Dear Pastor and Church, May this letter finds you well and encourage you and the church to uphold us in your prayers. Last week was our world missions conference and on Saturday was the 9th church an-niversary and we invited our local supported missionaries from Hanoi, Tai Ninh and Da Lat to preach to in our three nights preaching plus our main guest speaker, Pastor Jeremiah Angel Punzalan, of Society Bible Baptist Church Sta Mesa Manila Philippines.

The blessings are: 1. Bro. Israel Sabado surrendered his life to the Lord for full time service. He will start to study in our Bi-ble institute here in Vt. 2. Mark Rebures also surrendered his life for full time service. He will study in our Bible institute here as well. 3. Six souls received the Lord Jesus as their Lord and Savior. 4. One young lady followed the Lord in waters of baptism. 5. Melanie, my wife, after few weeks of angioplasty, is feeling better now and she singing in the choir again. 6. Two young people from our school got saved last week during our mission conference. Prayer request: 1.
