PLEASE HELP US ADVOCATE FOR IMPORTANT FUNDING FOR

NEW JERSEY’S DAY SCHOOLS AND YESHIVAS.

Two weeks ago, TEACH NJS, a partnership between the

Orthodox Union Advocacy Center, 20 Jewish day schools, and

the Jewish Federations of both Northern New Jersey and the

Heart of New Jersey, held its Launch Event.

Three hundred concerned community leaders and members

attended this event, and each walked away knowing that

something can be done to reduce the cost of non-public

education. Increased state funding for our children’s

education and services is possible, and necessary to mitigate

the day school tuition crisis.

We can start by spending the next two weeks urging our state

legislators to restore the budget cuts to non-public education

and co-sponsor the Secure Schools for All Children Act

(A4288 and S2889) – critical legislation that will provide

funding for security in non-public schools.

To effectively advocate for this legislation, we need EVERY

member of our community to take two minutes to send an

automated email to your elected officials.

These two minutes could help bring in millions of dollars of

much needed services and equipment to our schools.

Please don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference. We

do not need hundreds of emails. We need thousands of

emails. Only as a confident, determined group can we make

this happen.

Please forward this email to your friends, your fellow school

parents and your shul members. The success that we can

achieve by working TOGETHER over the next two weeks is

crucial for both our schools and our children. Thank you,

Josh Pruzansky, New Jersey Regional Director
