 SEASON 12 Regional Leg Rules and Regulations ELIGIBILITY 1. Players must be OFFICIALLY ENROLLED for the School Year 2014-2015 duly certified by the School Registrar or Principal, except for GUEST PLAYERS. 2. Players must be born not earlier than 1997. TEAM COMPOSITION 1. Teams will be allowed to have a maximum of 12players (inclusive of libero or liberos / GUEST PLAYER or GUEST PLAYERS), a Coach and an Assistant Coach. 2. Teams competing in the Regional Legs may reinforce their roster by acquiring a maximum of two (2) guest players (local or foreign / elementary or secondary or collegiate or out-of-school / but must meet the same age eligibility requirement of a regular player). 3. Only those above-mentioned will be allowed to sit on their Team Bench during games. 4. Teams will not be allowed to play without an AUTHORIZED Team Official. 5. Any MISREPRESENTATION on the Team’s Line-up is subject to DISQUALIFICATION from the League. 6. Any MATTER(s) regarding ELIGIBILITY will ONLY be entertained during the Preliminary Round. UNIFORMS 1. NO UNIFORM  NO PLAY. Players must play in their OFFICIAL SGVL PLAYING UNFORM. 2. DRESS CODE FOR TEAM OFFICIAL(S): Official SGVL 11   TOC Uniform for COACHES/ Long Pants or Athletic Pants / Leather Shoes or Rubber Shoes. TOURNAMENT FORMAT PRELIMINARY ROUND -Two Pools with 5 teams per Pool -Single Round-Robin -Best of Three Sets (1-25) -Top two (2) teams per Pool will qualify for the Semi-Final round  Team Rankings will be based on the WIN-LOSS Standing of each team RULE FOR BREAKING TIE(S) In case of tie(s) in the Teams’ Ranking, after the Preliminary Round, the following shall be applied to break the existing tie(s)

FIRST OPTION:TOTAL AWARDED POINT(S)Match ResultWINNERLOSER 2:03 points0 point 2:12 points 1 pointSECOND OPTION:Total number of sets won by the team in all matches divided by the total number of sets lost by the team in all matches.THIRD OPTION:Total number of points accumulated by the team in all matches divided by the total number of points accumulatedby the opposing teams in all matches.FOURTH OPTION:Winner over the other.

SEMI-FINAL ROUND-Rank 1 A vs. Rank 2 B and Rank 1B vs. Rank 2A (Knock-out Match)-Best of Three Sets (1-25) FINAL ROUND-Semi-Final Match Losers will play forBronze Medal Match (Best of Three Sets)-Semi-Final Match Winners will play for the Gold Medal Match (Best of Five Sets)

DEFAULTS1. Game time is defaulting time. Teams are advised to be at the playing venue at least an hour before their scheduled match.2. A team must be composed of at least six (6) regular players and must be in complete uniform at the start of the match. Failure to do so will automatically mean losing their match by default.3. A team that defaults TWICE will be disqualified and blacklisted from further participation in the League.4. DEFAULT PENALTY: in case of NO SHOW without informing the Tournament Director 72 hours before their scheduled match or failure to meet their scheduled game-time will be penalized Php. 5,000.***The Organizer of the League reserves the right to disallow a team to play their scheduled match in case of incomplete requirements and unpaid entry fees.***The Organizer of the League reserves the right to reschedule matches if deemed necessary.***Matters not included in this rules and regulations will be decided upon by a Technical Committee headed by the Tournament Director in accordance with the updated FIVB Volleyball Rules (2013-2016 edition).
