The family of Phantom Mic Riders is growing again to to include

the new Phantom Gooseneck and Podium Microphones. In yet

another technological breakthrough from Sabine, these mics

include the Phantom Mic Rider Pro built in to every unit. And,

just as in the Pro line of Phantoms, you can choose between

the full feature set or just the Infrared Gate.

Great Mics that Know When You are There:

These new mics feature high-output, crystal-clear electret

condenser capsules in either cardioid or super cardioid patterns.

Integrated into each capsule is Sabine’s infrared sensor which

detects the presence of a person standing at the mic. Now your

mic will always come on at the right moment – no more missing

those cues! Using the adjustable Infrared Gate you can program

the mic to switch on and off depending how close the person is

to the mic. You can also program how fast the mic turns off after

the person steps away.

Choose Built-in Audio Processing for Every Mic:

When you choose the 45-Series Phantom Gooseneck

Microphones you get all the Phantom Mic Rider Pro features,

including the 115 dB dynamic range. Automatic Gain Control,

Proximity Effect and Plosive Control, and the Infrared Gate

are included. The Phantom acts like an attentive sound mixer,

adjusting gain, compensating for the challenges associated with

poor mic technique, and simply making sure the mic goes on and

off at the right time. If you only want the powerful features of the

IR Gate, choose the 40-Series Microphones. Either way you get

solutions to problems that many users just live with – until now.

The New Phantoms: Gooseneck Mics and Inline Processors

SGM Mics with integrated bases also feature the ability to program the switch: on/off, push-to-talk, or disable and let the IR Gate control the mic.

The family of Phantom Mic Riders is now expanded to include the new Phantom Mic Rider Pro versions. Like the original Phantoms, these Pro versions provide solutions to overcome almost every problem you may have with a gooseneck, podium, or handheld mic.

Phantom Mic Riders are the closest thing to having an engineer in every microphone. And now you can choose from two different versions to cover any application you may have. The new Pro versions feature 115 dB dynamic range and lower phantom power requirements, allowing these to be used in more demanding applications such as performance audio, recording, and broadcast.

Products like these could only come from Sabine, the industry leader in innovative audio products. Chose from two different Phantoms:

Phantom Mic Rider Pro Series 3: These new units provide one simple function. They are Infrared Gates that turn your mic on and off based on the presence of a person. The heat-sensing IR module is mounted on the gooseneck or is built-in on the handheld version. You can adjust the IR sensor for both time and range. These adjustments allow you to customize the gate function for any application. And the improved specs allow for transparent audio.

Phantom Mic Rider Pro Series 2: In addition to the same adjustable IR Gate as in the 3 Series, the Series 2 Phantom Pro units provide 3 audio processors: Automatic Gain Control for controlling gain as you move toward and away from the mic, Proximity Effect Control for controlling that excess bass sound as you get closer to the mic and maintaining flat frequency response at all distances from the mic, and Plosive control, for reducing the loud pops and bursts from certain consonant sounds in speech.

Phantom Gooseneck Mics and Phantom Mic Riders feature the benefits of Sabine’s proven signal processing. This built-in processing gives you a distinct advantage when using Phantom Goodeneck Mics or adding the Phantom Mic Rider to your existing gooseneck or handheld mics.

Automatic Gain ControlThe AGC maintains level over a wide variation of distances from the mic, which compensates for people who move around while speaking, or who have a large dynamic range in their voices.

Proximity Effect and Plosive ControlThis function controls excess bass sound as you get closer to the mic and maintains flat frequency response at all distances from the mic. Plosives – those loud pops and bursts from certain consonantsounds in speech – are also reduced.
