PROCEDURE TO REPORT A STUDENT ABSENCE—A parent/guardian is to call the school to report a school absence ON THE DAY OF THE ABSENCE. You may leave a VOICE MAIL message at 885-5246. Press 1, and answer the questions, pressing the # button after each response. Voicemail is available 24 hours a day to report an absence. Calls prior to 8:00 am are encouraged and appreciated. If a call hasn’t been received by 10:00am the day of each absence, a School Messenger reminder notification will be delivered by telephone. A call is needed EACH DAY a student is absent. Your child should remain home if they have diarrhea, vomiting or an elevated temperature of 100 or

above. Students may return to school once they have been diarrhea free, vomiting free, and fever

free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications.

ALL PRO DADS—What is All Pro Dads? All Pro Dads is a breakfast meeting held once a month before school where fathers and their children meet with other dads and kids to enjoy a Chick-fil-A breakfast in the school cafeteria. At this gathering we discuss a wide range of family topics, spend time together, have fun and equip each other with resources to strengthen our family relationships. Learn more at www.allprodad.com. The dates for this years’ last breakfast is: May 19th If you have any questions regarding All Pro Dads, please contact the team captain at [email protected].

ATTENTION KIDS – NOMINATE YOUR TEACHER FOR TEACHER OF THE MONTH Your teacher could win a $100 IMCU gift card and your class could win a pizza party compliments of Chicago's Pizza. Send your name, address and telephone number along with a 100-word summary of why your teacher should be honored as the IMCU/ICON Teacher of the Month to [email protected]. Sponsored by the Center Grove ICON and Indiana Members Credit Union.

STUDENT DISMISSAL GUIDELINES—If your child is doing something other than riding the school bus that is assigned to your home address, it is important that you notify us of the change. All changes to regular routines need to be requested by 3:00pm (2:15pm on Wednesdays). Dismissals that require a note or email: *Middle of day pickup in Office for appointments; *Unscheduled end of day pick up in Cafeteria; *Regular Parent pick up in Cafeteria, either everyday or on regularly scheduled days of the week (contact the office for a form to fill out); *Going to Daycare (list daycare provider—this also includes Honey Grove); *Walking to Brentwood subdivision; *Riding a different bus due to childcare reasons (requires permission from Transportation) (in your note list bus number and the address students are going to) Please note that everyone picking up students either from the Office during the day, or from the Cafeteria after school, will be required to show a driver’s license every time they pick up. If it is easier for you to email dismissal arrangements vs. sending a note to school, please email Patty Kaschak, Office Assistant, at [email protected]

My name is Ryan Hahn and have lived in the Center Grove area for the past 15 years, with my wife Heather and our three sons, Jacob (11), Teddy (9) and Will (6). Our family can be found coming and going to Sugar Grove and various sporting events year round. In our down time we love to travel as a family and work to stay in touch with close friends and family near and far. I have been coming to All Pro Dads since Jacob started Kindergarten (and would hold my hand on the walk to Room 7) up until today when I get to walk all three boys to class after breakfast. The time to connect to my sons one on one and share their view of the world is cherished and look forward to continuing the monthly tradition well past their elementary school years.
