  • INTRODUCTION

    The Seychelles Institute of Art and Design (SIAD)offers programmes at Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma level. The various programmes on offer are aimed at providing learners with the knowledge, skills and outlook required for a career in the field of Visual Arts. The mandate of the Seychelles Institute of Art and Design is to train and prepare learners to service the growing needs of the creative and cultural industries in Seychelles.

  • WORK BASED EXPERIENCE

    Certificate Programmes:

    Learners will be required to complete 8 weeks of industry attachment spread over the two semesters of the programme.

    Advanced Certificate programmes:

    Learners will be required to complete a minimum of 10 weeks of work attachment spread over the duration of the programmes.

  • PROGRESSION

    Progression to the next level of studies is not automatic. Learners following a two year Advanced Certificate Programme must achieve at least 55% pass mark and 90% attendance in order to be promoted to the second year of the programme.

    Learners who achieve very high passes (credits and distinctions) upon completion of Advanced Certificate level programmes can apply for the Diploma Art and Design.

    Upon successful completion at Certificate Level, learners can progress to the next level of studies which is an Advanced Certificate in their respective area of specialization.
