    1. General Information/Gii thiu chung

    Theres plenty of organic compound and virus and bacteria in domestic

    sewage. If without effective treatment, itll be sure to seriously pollute the

    environment around us and harm our health. In this system, the technology

    employs biochemical combined with physic-chemical treatment method. The

    equipment is made up of fabricated steel integrated structure and is set in the

    ground. The operation of this system is automatically controlled and theeffluent water shall satisfy the local effluent standard of Vietnam.

    4. Process Description/ M t qu trnh

    The mature, reliable A/O two-stage biochemical combining phy-chemical

    treatment method is employed in this treatment process and that will enable it

    to stably satisfy the effluent standard. The detailed descriptions are as

    follows:

    4.1. Equalization pool/ B cn bng

    Due to the non-uniformity of the sewage quantity & quality at different

    times, in order to guarantee the continuous operation of downstreamequipments, an equalization pool is equipped for storing sewage and

    homogenizing water quality, which will guarantee the quality of the effluent

    water.

    While the sewage goes into the equalization pool, it first goes through the bar

    screen to remove the soft fiber objects and big-granule impurities to prevent

    the blockage of the water pumps, valves or pipelines, which will ensure the

    equipment in normal operating. The bar screen needs to be manually cleaned

    Since the equalization pool has a large cubage, its easy for suspended

    particles or impurities to precipitate, which will lead to deposition of sludge

    and fermentation. Therefore, an underwater stirring device is equipped. In

    this system, air agitation is employ for under-water stirring to guarantee the

    uniformity of the water in the pool.

    4.2. Oxygen deficit tank /B hao ht kh Oxy????In the oxygen deficit tank, the organic matters in the sewage are taken as the

    carbon source to mix with the circulating-reflux turbid water for the oxygen-deficit

    denitrogenation reaction. Under the actions of anaerobic microorganism, itll

    decompose organic nitrogen in the mixed sewage into the ammonia nitrogen. In the

    meantime, the organic carbon source is taken as the supplier of electrons to turn

    nitrous-acid nitrogen and nitric-acid nitrogen into nitrogen, forming N2 or NxOy

    which disappear into the atmosphere, in this way, the purpose ofdenitrogenation is

    realized.

    4.3. Biological-Contact Oxidation Tank / B Oxy ha sinh hc

    The oxygen-deficit treated sewage goes into the contact oxidation tankthe tank willmake plenty of aeration. It uses microorganisms to degrade the CODBOD5 organic

    matter in the water and also remove organic phosphor. This system employs

    biological-contact oxidation as the main process to remove organic

    substanceswhich has the following characteristics:

    BThe microorganisms and bacteria for contacting oxidation grows in the

    fillings, so there is no need for sludge reflux, which will not cause sludge expansionand it also has good impact-resistant performance.

    CSince the fillings have secondary-separation effect to the air, the utilization

    rate of the oxygen in the air is greatly enhanced, which can efficiently reduce the

    power consumption.

    The shape of this contact oxidation tank is rectangle, and according to 1:1

    proportion, is divided in 2 stages. To ensure full degradation of organic pollutants,

    especially soluble pollutants and the elimination of ammonia nitrogen, the first-stage

    tank is a high-load oxidation tank while the terminal-stage is a low-load oxidation

    tank.

    Internationally advanced floating-ball fillings will be applied as the filling

    material, while variable micropore aerators are used for aeration, and ABS

    engineering plastic tubes are used as aerator piping.

    4.4. Secondary Sedimentation Tank/B lng ng th 2

    The secondary sedimentation tank is equipped to remove the microorganism

    corpses after oxidation. The sludge in the sedimentation tank will be pumped by the

    sludge lift pump into sludge digestion tank to get digested. Then the supernatant

    liquid of the sedimentation tank will naturally flow into the disinfection tank.

    4.5. Disinfection Tank / B ty u kh trng nc thi

    The disinfection is used for killing the germs and microbes of the purified water

    to ensure the indexes of bacteria such as coli will meet the effluent standard.

    Chlorine contact-blending disinfection method orfolded-plate blending reaction

    disinfecting method required to be employed in this system. This disinfected device

    can change the dosage according to the amount of sewage to be treated, that means

    the dosage will be higher for higher amount of sewage, and be lower for lower

    amount of sewage. The disinfected water can be directly drained off.

    4.6. Sludge Tank/ B tiu hy, ht bn cn

    After lifting, the sludge in the secondary sedimentation tank is input to the sludge

    digestion tank to get anaerobic digestion. Most of the organic sludge can be digested

    during the process. The supernatant liquid of sludge will return to the equalization

    pool with little residual sludge left. The residual sludge will be regularly pumped and

    transported outside by the Environmental Sanitation Department engaged by the

    owner.
