Key Terms• Weather Watch- A watch means conditions are right for
dangerous weather. In other words, a "watch" means watch out for what the weather could do; be ready to act.
• Weather Warning- A warning means that the dangerous weather is threatening the area. There is a need to take cover in the event of a warning.
Classroom Activity • In this activity, the students will learn how to differentiate
between a weather watch and a weather warning.
Exit Ticket• Before leaving class, each student will tell the teacher the
difference between a weather watch and warning or they can choose to name some of the severe weather seen in the area.
