Guys Answering
Girl Questions
A Peak Into a Guy’s Mind
Baby Steps
By Whitney Fromm
MARCH 2012
It seems like today every girl is starting to look the same. Everything
from the way they fix their hair, to the way they dress. It’s all the same.
To me, what makes a girl stick out in a crowd is when she is saying
things about herself with her clothes, that she wouldn’t be ashamed to tell
Jesus face to face.
What to you, makes a young lady stand out in a crowd?
We live in a day and age where standards are continually compromised
and lowered in the lives of young ladies. What is your take on this?
When I hear that young ladies compromise today, it breaks my heart.
Because I know they are headed down a road of heartache and pain. To
find a set apart girl is rare. No wonder the Bible says, Who can find a vir-
tuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Proverbs 31:10
We know God is a God of second chances, but what would you say to en-
courage a young lady that has fallen?
When we sin we definitely break God’s heart, we must admit that. He tells
us, whosoever covereth His sins shall not prosper. But if we confess our
sins, He is faithful and just to forgive. We must encourage these young la-
dies and make them realize that Jesus still loves them and is waiting with
open arms to forgive. He has great plans for anyone who will give Him
their life.

What most impresses you in a girl?
The unique combination of inner strength and a quiet spirit.
If you could use one word to describe a characteristic you love to see in a
young lady, what would it be and why?
Surrendered. I choose this word because it reaches all aspects of her life.
No matter whether it is dress, attitude, or service; if a girl is completely
surrendered to the Word and will of God, it will shine forth in the life she
lives for Christ.
If you had the opportunity to tell every godly young lady in the world
one thing, what would it be?
No matter how godly you think your perspective man is, ask your father
to ask him to search his computer on the spot. If he gives grief, drop him.
What most impresses me about a girl is her love for Christ. A girl can be
the best singer, or the prettiest, or the most popular. But being any of
those things, she can still make horrible life choices. However, a girl who
loves Christ will be obedient to Him. And, if she’s obedient to Him, it does-
n’t really matter if she’s the best singer, the prettiest, or the most popular,
because she will be someone who is, truly, worth knowing.

Baby Steps By: Whittney Fromm
Sometimes I feel like a baby who is just learning to walk. I will take a step, and another faltering little step, and then I tumble down in a heap. I may
have learned to walk on two feet without falling (most of the time!), but learning to walk by faith is a whole different ball game. I take a step, and an-
other faltering little step of faith, and then I tumble down in a heap, tripped up by my unbelief.
But funny thing about babies, no matter how many times they fall, they never give up. Every one of them will eventually put one foot in front of an-
other and not fall down. The reason they succeed is they will not quit trying. (Illustration from Harris, Do Hard Things)
I have to admit, when I mess up for the hundredth time in a week, I definitely don’t feel like chanting “Never, never, never give up” with Winston
Churchhill. I feel like going for broke, I’ve already blown it anyway. Baby steps, big tumbles. I cry with Paul for that which I do I allow not: for what I
would, that I do not, but what I hate, that I do.. (Romans 7:15) I strive to honor God with my life, but over and over again I fail. It feels like a losing battle.
My testimony is ruined; how could He possibly use me? His answer is not what I’m expecting. For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.
(Proverbs 24:16)
It would be foolish to give up on a baby the first time it tumbled down in a heap. Yet we are so ready to give up on ourselves. We buy the lie that God
can’t use us once we’ve fallen. God does not expect us not to fall, He expects us to get back up.
