Key Lessons Learnt:
A healthy participation was seen (37 attended out of an invites 39) due to the keen interest
of DC Pishin and his presence at the session as well along with his staff.
A low standard deviation in the pretest scores show that the competency level of majority of
the delegates was grouped close around a low average of 20% score in the test.
A 53% improvement in the post test shows a moderate improvement to an average post test
score of 31% but an increase in the standard deviation also displays that some delegates
showed marked improvement in concepts after the session while some did not perform as
competitively.
This signifies that efforts from trainers need to be made to ensure that the whole group of
delegates is following what is being delivered in the session. Also, some delegates attend the
session on only one day which has an incremental effect on the standard deviation. This
practice needs to be curbed.
Activity of role-play as learnt from the success of the last session was formalized in this
session and the results of the activity were exceptionally positive.
o Sample bids were printed and distributed to groups of participants acting as
Procuring Agencies.
o Later, the groups presented the outcomes of their procurement activity.
o The assessors were provided with a solution key to check the outcomes of the
process and how successfully were the participants able to point out mistakes in the
bids and apply BPP Rules.
Participants’ Clarity on Objectives: Very Good. Majority stated that their objectives to
attend the session were met.
Key Feedbacks Received: The session exceeded the expectations of most participants.
Participants requested to arrange more such sessions. Special requests to arrange hands-on
session on MIS/Uploading of tenders.
