CLS iPad Initiative Philosophy
CLS PhilosophyIn a world where technology is ubiquitous, it is our responsibility as an educational institution to prepare our students to use the tools that they have responsibly and efficiently to accomplish both academic and nonacademic tasks.
As a School we will never abandon our commitment to provide our students with experiences to read carefully, to think critically, and to engage with one another and their teachers.
Our mission is and always will be to cultivate the traditional skills in our students that position them to be thoughtful and articulate communicators, in speech and in writing. It is upon this foundation that we layer the 21st Century Skills – communication, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration – into our curriculum in ways that utilize the mobile technology that students use now and will use beyond their time at Latin.
Our goal is to produce self-sufficient, life-long learners who are responsible and ethical citizens, no matter the realm or medium of interaction.
