The Neuropsychology Center of Louisiana is a private pay office & does not accept insurance.
Payment is due, in full, at the time services are rendered.
Should you wish to file a claim with your insurance carrier for reimbursement, we may provide you
with a completed claim form, which you can mail. Any reimbursement will be paid to you directly. (We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid cases,
litigation cases [except for environmental trauma], or Workman’s Compensation cases.

Gale M. Delatte, LCSW
Dr. Nemeth is currently in practice at The Neuropsychology Center of Louisiana, where she has a broad-spectrum practice in the areas of Clinical, Medical and Neuropsychology. Her practice interests, specifically in the area of neuropsychology, include working with individuals who have brain-behavior dysfunction either due to head injury, medical trauma, and/or aging, as well as attention deficit disordered, learning disabled, and other special needs individuals. She has considerable experience in individual and group therapy. She has written two book chapters, one on the history of psychotherapy in the United States and another on anger management for children. Dr. Nemeth and colleagues co-authored a book, Helping Your Angry Child, which was released by New Harbinger Publications in March 2003; she has recently co-edited a book on environmental trauma titled, Living in an Environmentally Traumatized World: Healing Ourselves and Our Planet (2012), and an anthology, titled, Ecopsychology: Advances from the Intersection of Psychology and Environmental Protection (2015). Her next book for Elsevier Press will focus on Individual and Community Resilience: From Theory to Practice (2017).
Dr. Nemeth is currently serving as Co-Secretary for the World Council for Psychotherapy (WCP) and is a WCP/DPI/NGO Delegate to the United Nations. She has been nationally and internationally recognized for her work in the area of Ecopsychology and her community Hurricane Anniversary Wellness offerings post-Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Dr. Nemeth is Louisiana’s Council Representative to the American Psychological Association and is a member of the Louisiana Academy of Medical Psychology.
Dr. Nemeth is the 2010 recipient of the Louisiana Psychological Association’s Distinguished Psychologist Award.

Educational Diagnostician
Mrs. Carter taught both regular and special education classes before transferring to Pupil Appraisal Services. She spent 33 years working with Pupil Appraisal teams. In addition to her master’s degree in education, Mrs. Carter has also attained 30 hours of graduate education. As NCLA’s educational diagnostician and consultant, she conducts educational assessments and assists in school-related intervention recommendations.

Mrs. Delatte, who has a master's degree in social work, has been a Louisiana Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for over thirty years. For twenty-six years of those years, she worked as a school social worker with the East Baton Rouge School System, Pupil Appraisal Services division, as part of evaluation teams assessing children of all ages for possible special needs services, including eligibility for the Gifted and Talented programs. After retiring in January 2011, Mrs. Delatte joined the NCLA's educational team, as the social work consultant. As consultant, Mrs. Delatte is the laison between the NCLA team and parents and school personnel to assist teachers in understanding how the child’s condition impacts his/her learning, as well as in implementing the accommodations/recommendations in the classroom as deemed appropriate for the child by the NCLA team.
Jennifer Volz, Ph.D., NCSP, BCBA-D, is a School Psychologist who specifically works with children, adolescents, and their families. She earned her Ph.D. in 2006 from Louisiana State University. Her clinical interests include child and adolescent therapy and assessment focused on behavior problems, academic difficulties (including LD & ADHD), mood disorders, anxiety, and adjustment issues as well as parent and teacher training.
Dr. Fernando Pastrana is a Clinical and Neuropsychologist at NCLA specializing in brain injury recovery. Dr. Pastrana has completed a two year post-doctoral fellowship in Rehabilitation Psychology at The Shepherd’s Center in Atlanta, GA.
Dr. Pastrana sees
patients at NCLA’s Gretna office as well as the Baton Rouge office.
