Under the Sea AGES 6-8This camp is the perfect place to beat the summer heat! Have an ocean full of fun as we explore the mysteries under the sea. Join us for crab racing, coconut bowling and deep sea Jell-O diving or hunt for treasure, attend a luau party and play cool games every day!

Dino Days AGES 6-8There is a 40-foot T-Rex in those hills just waiting for you to unearth him! Join a team of junior paleontologists and geologists as you embark on a prehistoric adventure at Batawa’s own interactive research camp. During this week you will be part of a dino dig to reveal a life-sized T-Rex. You will discover ancient fossils and minerals, create fossil rubbings, identify dinosaur footprints and make a casting of your own footprint to take home. Bring your sense of adventure and you will be amazed at what you will find!

Hike ’n’ Bike AGES 6-8 AND AGES 9-12Bring your bike and explore the trails, grasslands, and highlands of Batawa. Spend the week developing your cross-country biking skills including braking, cornering, climbing, descending, and maneuvering around obstacles - all done safely of course. But don’t stop there! Hike through wooded areas and learn wilderness survival techniques as you explore Batawa’s natural environment. Work together as a team to pick a perfect location to build a survival camp. Equipment required: your bike and helmet. Bikes will be stored securely overnight.

Eco Explorers AGES 6-8Outdoor discovery awaits you! Explore the woodlands, grasslands, and wetlands that surround Batawa Ski Hill. Experience a critter safari and sharpen your mapping skills as you search for hidden objects. Bring out your creative side with various nature art activities and learn how to identify trees, flowers, and wildlife common to the area.

Eco Adventures AGES 9-12An interactive and educational outdoor adventure awaits you. Explore the interesting eco zones in and around Batawa including grasslands, woodlands, wetlands, riparian zones and discover the largest glacial erratic in Ontario. What is a riparian zone? What is an erratic? Come to camp and find out! Learn wilderness survival, identify vegetation and find hidden treasures using orientation skills. Set up campsites, build natural shelters, and learn hiking and back country exploration safety tips.

LOCATION OF CAMPS – All Batawa Adventure Camps are held at the Batawa Ski Hill, 10 minutes north of Trenton on Highway 33.

Camp HoursAll camps run from 9 am-4 pm, with the exception of the one-day Home Alone and Babysitters certification courses.

Before-and After-Camp CareLoyalist Kids’ Corner runs from 8-9 am and from 4-5 pm each day. For Batawa campers, call the Batawa Ski Hill to book 613-399-6568.

Special Circumstances and Special NeedsWe care about each child who comes to camp and we want to ensure everyone has the best chance to enjoy their experience. If your child has a special circumstance or consideration, please contact the program’s coordinator prior to registration at 613-969-1913 ext. 2467. Note: campers requiring the support of an educational assistant during the school year must be accompanied by an adult during camp, at the expense of the parent.

Animation Camp AGES 10-14Have you ever wondered how to create the coolest video game characters? How about making the funniest 3D animated films? In this camp you will learn to brainstorm, create and animate your way through this fun, five-day long animation camp, make content from concept to completion, while adding your own style. Leave the camp with the skills to amaze your friends and family in video game creation and computer animation.
