partnerships with our suppliers to promote adherence to internationally recognised ethical standards. Because we

select, approve and inspect all our suppliers personally, we can guarantee that high ethical and environmental standards

Employment law

When assessing our supply partners we follow the standards set out by WRAP, which requires that working conditions in

our factories are safe, that working hours do not exceed local maximums and that overtime must be voluntary. Children

must not be employed below the minimum working age set by that individual country. Forced labour is prohibited. All

suppliers must employ using equal opportunity and non racist policies. Remuneration must be at least the minimum required

by local law, including allowances and benefits. We require suppliers/manufacturers to comply with all local environmental

laws and legislation, and be committed to improving and investing in environmental efforts. At Tombo, we believe that our employees, wherever they are in the world, have a right to these conditions. We ensure compliance with the above

Wicking Moisture management with ARIDUS® DRIWicking Moisture management with ARIDUS® DRI

Wicking (a capillary action) is the process of drawing perspiration away from the skin through a material, such as a base layer, or T-Shirt. Once the perspiration is drawn away from the skin it can evaporate without having a cooling effect on the body.

Many base layers are made of synthetic materials because they do not absorb moisture very well but are good at transporting it away from the skin. Tombo performance Tops are made with Aridus ® Dri which transports moisture away from the skin, spreading it over a wider area to assist in speedy evaporation. Keeping you comfortable even after exercise.

Essential principals of Layering:Being as dry and comfortable as possible is key to enjoying the your sport, whether it’s jogging round the park or standing on the touchline on a cold day and layering your clothing properly will help you balance your temperature throughout your activities.

Understanding and planning your layering is vital because: • Too little clothing will make you cold

• Having too much clothing will make you overheat

Layering incorrectly or with the wrong materials will not allow perspiration to escape which will make you uncomfortable and eventually cold as the perspiration condenses and cools on your clothing.

The principals of Layering: Base layer: The layer closest to your skin which helps ‘wick’ sweat (see wicking) away from your skin. In very warm weather a base layer or wicking T-Shirt may be all you need.

Warmth layer: You may add or remove a warmth layer depending on the weather you encounter or your activities. A good warmth layer should be: lightweight, warm, quick drying and let perspiration escape from your base layer while still being insulating, this needs to be a made from synthetic such as a polyester microfleece.

Outer layer: This layer will protect you from the worst of the weather and it should be:, windproof, showerproof or waterproof.

When choosing your clothing it is important to think about:What activities you are going to be doing. High aerobic activities may onlyneed a wicking T-Shirt or top and outer layer. If you are active and generating a high level of warmth in cold conditions you may need a warm layer for periods of rest, during training or spectating.
