The Rebel Princess SERIES PREMIERE MON Nov 1 | 11pInternational fi lm star Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) stars in her fi rst small-screen role as a princess who defi es expectations, falls in love and rules the world in this romantic, action-packed historical epic from China. Episodes will be airing weeknights at 11:00 p.m., or you can stream the series online at KCTS9.org/Princess. (Amanpour and Company will move to midnight during The Rebel Princess’s 68 episode broadcast run.)
Royal Flying Doctor Service SERIES PREMIERE THU Nov 11 | 10pRoyal Flying Doctor Service is a compelling Australian drama series inspired by the real service of the same name, which transports patients from Australia’s remotest places despite emergencies that race against the clock and occur in hostile environments. The series delivers nail-biting suspense and acts of heroism, as well as gripping stories about what brings the characters, and community, together.
American Exile TUE Nov 16 | 10pBrothers Manuel and Valente Valenzuela both volunteered and fought in Vietnam. Fifty years later, they are among thousands of veterans who are being deported. The brothers don their uniforms for one last fi ght, to bring all the veterans back home.
Coppélia! FRI Nov 26 | 9p Coppélia! made its debut as a comic ballet in 1870, telling the story of an eccentric toymaker named Doctor Coppelius who invents a life-size dancing doll. This time, Doctor Coppelius is a sinister plastic surgeon whose quest to build the perfect robot woman threatens the romance — and the lives — of a young couple who falls under his spell. A modern fairy tale for the whole family, this new interpretation features an innovative blend of live-action ballet with 2D and 3D animation. Michaela DePrince stars.

WEDNESDAYS | 8p
In arid regions across Africa, the waterhole is central to everyone’s life. It is where animals visit to drink. But there is an entire community of creatures who call the waterhole “home,” many of whom live at an elephant’s toenail height. “The Elephant and the Termite” premieres November 3.
In this two-part series, beginning November 10, journey deep into the wild heart of North America’s Rocky Mountains and experience this rugged land as never seen before. “Born in the Rockies” follows the lives of the courageous animal families struggling to survive in one of the most challenging habitats on Earth.
