• Two piece shaft design results in a thin profile disc – provides minimum obstruction to flow

– creates a smooth flow characteristic

– provides higher Kv’s or Cv’s

• Polished disc edge – reduction in seating and unseating torque

– increased seat life and lower total cost of ownership

• Disc weight is optimized with added ribs for increased strength and decreased deflection

• Disc to shaft connection is achieved by a close tolerance machined hexagonal shaft connection – provides a stronger engagement than other designs, such as

double “D” or pinning

– eliminates a disc to shaft connection in the flow path, thus reducing any possible turbulence
