MARINE PROPULSION CONTROL SYSTEM

The MPC-CP is designed to accommodate a widerange of propulsion control requirements from thesimple to the sophisticated. It is equally suited forsingle or multi engine installations as well asarrangements with power take off devices such asgenerators and fire pumps.

Advanced programming techniques for items such asremote control, speed/power curves, load sharing, loadcontrol, servo loop characteristics, alarms and operatormessages ensure a high degree of flexibility andsuperior performance.

The MPC-CP automatic load control for controllablepitch propellers is fast yet completely stable. Dualdynamics are implemented in installations where thepropeller is anticipated to break through the surface inrough seas.

Significant reduction in exhaust smoke is achieved byincorporating turbo pressure dependent feed forwardpitch and load limits with proportional dynamics.

Basic adjustments to limit engine rpm, load and pitchfor single or multi engine configurations are easilyaccomplished using the control head display and softkeys.

OPTIONAL FEATURES

The electric shaft option simulates a mechanicalinterconnection between the CH levers. Moving theCH lever at the station in command causes all otherCH levers in the system to follow. This providescontinuous alignment with the commanding CH leverposition at all stations. Because all CH levers arecontinually aligned, control transfer between stationsis smooth and “bumpless”.

Extended low operating temperature range availablefor outdoor stations.
