Introduction

My country is Saudi Arabia! The capital of Saudi Arabia is Riyadh. There language is arabic. There location is in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia is in Asia. There boarders are Yemen, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, UAE, and Kuwait.

History

The History of Saudi Arabia, as a state, begin with its foundation in 1933 Abdulaziz Al Saud, although the history of what was to become Saudi Arabia goes back to the beginnings of human habitation in Arabia up to 20,000 years ago. .Humans have lived near the coasts of the arabian peninsula for thousands of years. Until 1932, Saudi arabia was called “arabia”. The kingdom of Saudi Arabia was formed o September 23, 1932. In ancient times kingdoms on the peninsula controlled trade routes between Africa and Asia.

Geography

These are some Major bodies of water in Saudi arabia, Half moon Bay: an area of recreation for many people. Also known for fishing. Sabkhat Matti, a dry lake which is between Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E. Sabka in the word Sabkhat means “salt flat”. This is a Major Landmark, there is a fountain in Saudi Arabia called “ King Fountain” in Jeddah. There are 3 Major deserts in Saudi Arabia, ad dahana which is 800 miles, an nafud 40,000 square miles, Rub al khali 250,000 square miles.

Culture

Clothing: Men and Boys wear white thobes during hot weather, in clod weather they wear wool thobes in dark colors. As for the Women they should wear a abaya in public, cover their hair with a scarf, and cover their face with a veil.

Music: The music of Saudi Arabia differs from one area to another. Music was brought from all around the world. They have the music of al-sihba which is poetry too.

Culture 2

Food: The people of Saudi Arabia mostly eat rice, chicken, lamb, and dates. Their famous plate is “Kabsa”.

Holidays: These are the 3 most important holidays in Saudi Arabia are profits birthday which is 1 day, Eid al fitr which is 7 days, and the Eid al Adha which is 10 days.

Interesting Facts

Saudi Arabia is a complicated thing Single women with the exception of

certain professions ( such as nurses and nannies) are not easily granted visas to enter.

If you do receive permission to enter the kingdom you need to be very respectful of the laws and social customs of the kingdom.

Conclusion

Saudi Arabia was an interesting country to learn about. I wouldn’t want to go there because there are many strange laws such as, women cant drive, movie theaters are illegal, pork is illegal , and gyms and certain sports for women are banned and those are things that some people cant live without.
